2024 and Still magnificent music 🎉

I distinctly remember a part in this where some red haired girl comes down from the sky after you get her purse or something, and she takes you up to collect hearts. Am I thinking of the wrong game?

This is different to how I remembered it, I thought it was a lot closer to the arcade but the intro is in the wrong key and a lot of the instuments are very muffeled here. In some ways even the Genesis is closer to the arcadre in some of tracks.

I didn't play this game growing up, I played Hudson Soft's Adventure Island on NES. Only discovered this game was a thing recently when I played it at an arcade. There are a lot less tracks in this version than the Nintendo version (the Nintendo version has different tracks for each of the level themes), but this music is so much better

Surely everyone remembers the parts of the movie where Simba fights a Gorilla and then travels through literally Hell. The developers did a fantastic job portraying those iconic scenes in the game

It's so frustrating that they've used the same music for all the stages when you go through the game, especially as the unused track is fantastic.

The SNES soundtrack blows 64 out of the water. I know the latter is supposed to sound militaristic and reminiscent of Thunderbirds, but the former really captures the feel of flying in a high speed aircraft.

This is a great conversion, and some tracks I prefer in PSG form, too bad Jamming's beginning only plays once and never again, it's easily my favorite part

After all these years I can still remember the Christmas of 98 that I received this as a gift. I was 8 and the N64 was THE console to have. The Select theme is a serene and wonderful blast from the past. I wish I could go back and sit down with my younger self, showing him how to get through the tougher parts of the game. He could have used a big hug then.
