The date seems odd as nothing can be found at the date january 26 2009, not in chloe's texts, not in her diary and max left in 2008. Max and chloe had text exchanges long after that. I did some research and if we check in chloe's texts the last contact with Max was 11/28/2009 Where max proposes to phone "this weekend" Now, my theory has a small flaw, because 11/28/2009 was a saturday and "this weekend" should theoretically include the same day or the day after. I think that is an error and they intended max to mean "next weekend" as the next sunday was dec 6 2009, which could be accurate if we read the tree inscription as 12-6-09 instead of 1-26-09 Maybe it is an indication that Chloe takes that date as the end of hope for any further contact with Max as another promise was broken. All her texts after that go unanswered by Max, perhaps making her feel their friendship has died at dec 6 2009. Alternatively, as there is a lot of "clutter" around the date, what seems to be a 1 could just be a scratch or crease in the bark and the 6 could actually just be a 0 messed up by other lines... in that case the date could simply be "2009" Lovely, these games, keep you guessing at details for decades ^^

The only depressing thing I could speculate that this grim easter egg gave us the context of what happened after Max sacrificed Chloe in the first game, assuming that's she smiled in the end of the first game ending. Means, she killed herself after Chloe died. This theory could be true and it broke me.

First you guys need to know each student DOB..Max DOB is September21 1995..(You can get Each DOB of students at time when you break in Wells office and search the Students information files at cupboard ,Kate Marsh file also out at desk) 2) In LIS BTS the real time Flow ..When Chloe texting to Max it was 2009-2010 ..but that time Chloe was around 16 year old ..At this time Max already leave Arcadia bay to Seattle cuase of father's job settlement.. 3) This dream in it the phone tells about Max text as year 2008 with backward timing..If you note a thing 2008-1995=13 ..At that time she was trying to cinfess Chloe that she was leaving her forever to Seattle..(IF you play or stream Farewell Chapter of LIS:BTS) ,but this timeline Max doesn't aware of her powers so it can't be her to say like this during this duration.. 4)Unless If you remembered more William took picture of Both girls ..before Farewell..This 18 years old Max is still carrying the Same photo in her dairy... She was able to go back at that time when the photo was captured.. At that time she was enough shocked saying that "I am 18 year old in *13 year* self " 😂 This time it is possible that she tried to warn or comforting Chloe but the question is how didn't this message appear in 14 year old Chloe...itself during William timeline.. also *if you notice about Joyce message it was year 2008 talking about david ..Seems they know each other very well then married or something not right cuase she can't be just a punk within a month when she was 14 years old* It seems this crow in the video holds the answer ...

i didnt know that pokemiles were in this game, and since i was doing a lot of wonder tradinb to complete my pokedex i had about 9,000. also trading pokemiles for ultra balls is probably the best way to get them in this game

If all of that were true then yikes! That makes the Bay ending more sad, because not only you save the people and bring justice for Chloe and Rachel - But two of the game's main leads dies in this ending together. I don't want to think Max commits suicide in this ending. We have to remember that she's only 18 years old and she has a whole life ahead of her to meet someone new to have a strong connection with like she had with Chloe. I think people are forgetting that in real life, sometimes childhood friends don't last long, high school friends don't last long, and heck even relationships and marriages don't last long either. I don't know why this fandom thinks Max only needs Chloe in her life...I get that she loves her a lot, but that's what it's only shown in the game and nothing else. We don't know if their relationship will last longer in the aftermath. But both endings provide a lot of hope for Max and/or Chloe. Yes, there are a lot of journal written about Max's love for Chloe but you have to realize that it's normal for teenagers to show a lot of unconditional love for that person, but you may never know if it'll last longer or not, depending on how healthy the relationship is.

The canon ending is max saving Chloe and sacrificing Arcadia bay. Legit the whole of lis is max saving Chloe and saying she will never leave her again. Personally that's what I think max would choose if you follow her speech throughout the game
