Im not aware of apple script being able to read when a page load occurs but may be worth researching. Only thing I can think of is a manually approach to identifying average load times and manually applying a delay that is close to it.

I graduated in visual communication (graphic design) in end of 2019 when COVID hits so I couldn't land any job back then and I had been just working in other irrelevant industry for years. @@mtc1516 most of my figma knowledge was learned on the job and spent a lot of my free time learning web development as well and how that translates to design tools. A lot of the knowledge can be acquired just rebuilding systems from scratch in figma and referencing already built systems and dissecting them. Also design system documentation websites can be a big help in understanding all the decisions that make up a products interface. Hope this helps!

Hey Tim, Is there's a reason why you auto layout the text layer and then create a frame to contain it? I feel like if you ever changed the text value from 'button' to something else it won't readjust the width since the outter just a frame ??? Can I just auto layout the text itself then add paddings 16px and fill color?

If you set the text to adjust to the width of the text contents with padding applied to the parent auto layout layer (aka Button container) you can get your Buttons width to adhere to the length of your string (text). By selecting the text layer and then adding auto layout. I have all I need to create my Button once I have modified the desired properties. Hope this helps!

28:49 Anyone knows why did he need to remove auto-layout to swap the instance so the text elements can align properly between Row 1 and row 2?? It contains too many frames and auto-layout so I get super confused!! I wish it could be explained more clearly but thanks for sharing!! Love your videos

Yes these will work on windows but the key you hold may be Alt instead of Command (Cmd) on mac. Figma documentation will show you those shortcut keys for PC in case Alt is not the right key.

According to a video course I'm following, using simplified components improves rendering performance of complex designs. I also asked the "Figma Design Buddy" on ChatGPT, and it explained the same thing. The official docs don't say anything about performance, so that's likely not the main reason this feature exists - but Figma users and teachers generally seem to think it helps with performance in large files, so. :-)

It works well except the plugin can't look inside Instances. I can't build tables without instances, no one should be using Figma to build stuff without using Components/Instances and Variants. So unless the plugin can look inside instances or allow us to raise our #colName up to rename the instance then we can't use this. Happy to pay for a plugin that can bring in Google Sheets into figma allowing us to use instances.

Great tutorial, exactly what I was looking for but I noticed when the user has a story, it takes one less "tab" for some reason. Is there anyway around this, this one thing seems like it will put a kink in the works if I want to loop this program.
