Hey Arjunraj! Thanks for the video. Was wondering if there is some way to connect to discuss my shot at the ISB PGP application? I am applying for R2 (3rd December 2023 deadline). Thanks!

Im curious if you could elaborate on placement procedure for MBBs specifically, especially around shortlisting, GPA expectations and number of people who get selected finally into MBBs. Thanks

I loved the business card idea. Although there are chances that it can backfire as well, right?
@redundant_raj9 ай бұрын
As long as you’re not pushy about them accepting your card, it’s okay. Business cards are a great networking tool. And networking happens even in an interview!

No. GMAT score has no relevance beyond application and admit. Nobody even asks your gpa once you get a job after mba!

Hey Arjun, do these essay topics stay the same for subsequent rounds like R2 or R3? Also is there some priority given to folks who have applied to R1 over folks applying to R2 and so on?
@redundant_raj10 ай бұрын
The topics stay the same. There is some advantage to submitting in the first round. Your chance of being considered is a little higher. The later you submit, the fewer slots there are left.

@redundant_raj should i mention about my 2 years gap after graduation for preparing UPSC CSE if i can link it with certain strength or weakness ?
@redundant_raj Жыл бұрын
You most definitely can. However, you need be very specific about why youre choosing to give up UPSC at this stage. You musnt sound like the MBA is a fall back option. Look into why you want to do UPSC. Are you trying to solve a specific problem in the country? And do you believe, for example, that studying for UPSC and understanding social impact initiatives makes you uniquely equipped to workong to solve these problems in the provate sector?

@@redundant_raj its like after those 2 years i am currently doing job for 2+ years now. At this point mentioning abt that gap wont weaken my position right ?
@redundant_raj Жыл бұрын
@@meertadsarkar7759you’re in the clear then! Just be honest that you attempted the upsc and later decided on an alternate course of action for adding value to society. All that matters is that you tell a good story that highlights MBA qualities like taking risks, accepting failure and learning from it.

Hey Raj , without wasting your time moving to direct question : What is the CTC range that majority of students get at ISB bcz on the internet everyone seems to be getting 38-40 lc/pa
@redundant_raj Жыл бұрын
Very hard for me to answer this without creating expectations. I would set it at 30 lacs to 35 starting salary right now. It completely depends on the market conditions at the time you get placed. We are living through a time of market correction right now. So if you get placed, you may find that your juniors join at a higher salary simply because they joined at a time of cash liquidity.

@redundant_raj Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, using hook statements in moderation can help make it easier to read the essay. Keeping the rest of the essay tight and descriptive will ensure you don't cross the word limit.

Hi, As I am applying for ylp, my essay will be containing academic and personal parts, right? How can I make my academic part catchy? Thank you :)
@redundant_raj Жыл бұрын
Hi Nidhi, Sorry if this is a little late. For YLP candidates, I always suggest that you make your academic interests very clear with evidence of what you are doing RIGHT NOW to make these goals a reality. For example, let's say that you're in your third year of engineering. Some things that grab attention are good projects that you've done and how you're planning to apply them towards the end of the year and to the rest of your career. They're looking for people who have at least a very clear and pragmatic understanding of what the future holds for them should they continue this course of studies or career in this field.
