@dylangaudineer50142 күн бұрын
Glad you found your buck, but the fact that you injured him the prior year and made a horrible shot the next year and still felt like this was a good video to post just lost me as a follower. I understand things happen, its bowhunting, but its clear that sharing this hunt because of the size of this deer was what was most important to this page with no concern for the message it sends out to the hunting community and others...
@TeamRadical2 күн бұрын
@dylangaudineer5014 Actually you have this backwards. If we only cared about the size of the deer we wouldn't have even shown or discussed his first screw up. The problem is other hunting shows want to paint only the feel good stories and show only the good which creates a false reality to other hunters watching. We show it all, good and the bad. Mason is only in his mid 20's and is still gaining experience as we all have over the years. Is it cringe worthy to see it sometimes? Yes it is. Is it real? Yes it is. There will be mistakes made by all of us, it's the reality. Sorry to loose you as a follower, but we'll continue to show the good with the bad. At the very least it's a motivator to us to do better and learn from our mistakes, but we feel it's not a mistake showing our mistakes.

Might as well not post videos like this. Deer went thru absolute misery twice then deer was no longer good to eat a big waste but most people just want horns , but news for them , you cant eat horns
@chrisfisher39006 күн бұрын
As much as it pains me to say it you might want to pick up rifle hunting or not go after bucks that get you so excited. That deer was miserable for at least a year because of your first shot but that second gut shot was total bullshit. I strongly believe in hunting but also believe in hitting what you aim at. At very least practice more

It's the strangest phenomenon that happens to all hunters, young, old, experienced, or new, it's your bodies instinctual response to dump full adrenaline inyo your blood because your body goes into predator mode, it's the "fight or flight" reaction but this is your body going into instinctual predatorial mode, something we once had thousands of years ago. It's the same as a lion hiding in bushes before ambushing prey. You can't control it, you can't stop it, there's nothing you can take for it. Your body starts to shake and your heart starts to race and you sometimes feel extremely cold because your body is ready to move and chase pray. It's the most incredible feeling, better than drugs, better than anything you've ever experienced, it's addicting and its rewarding and it's natural, it's part of hunting and we love it. Some people get it ss soon as they see a deer, some get it only after they have shot, and ver rare cases some ppl bever get it. And sometimes its stringer than other times. I get ut when a fawn walks out 😂 although its not nearly the same as when somethufn big comes out. Don't get me wrong, it can also be nerve racking at times and stressful too! It can absolutely cause you to miss a shot. That's why when the whole hunt comes together it's so rewarding.

Can you tell me when the hunting season ends?
@TeamRadicalАй бұрын
@Farmers4.0 firearm season here in Illinois is essentially two weekends. Mid November then first weekend of December. Deer season in general typically is over mid January. But for exact dates always read the rules and regulations every year. Can get those online or the stores that sell tags and licenses.

If you own those woods or like the person that does recommend they jump on treating the honey suckle asap I’m in ky and spray in nov/ dec when everything else is dormant you can get a good kill on them. Otherwise 10 years from now good luck walking in those woods. Have to crawl through it all. Saw young plants everywhere while you were walking. It’s easy to use a back pack sprayer and round up to hammer them whenever you have time. Best of luck Cool buck
