When overpopulation leads to disease and dysfunction, mere existence becomes a far more grim prospect.. given the option of a brief chase followed by swift, humane dispatchment as opposed to a long, protracted dying wracked with sickness and malaise, I know which of the two I’d choose..

You cant beat rabbit and chips .

I no longer keep ferrets or go ferreting due to health but my ferrets were feed rabbit for the first year before I worked them

When I was going up my families tradition was going rabbit hunting every thanksgiving.

I love rabbit! My local market stopped carrying it after some complaints. It's the absolute BEST meat there is! Lean....fat free...fantastic for those with issues when eating pork or beef.

I remember meeting this guy at Lowther fair. Brilliant show. Inspired me to get a ferret. Mine turned out to be a feret polecat cross called Hades. I don't work him but am getting a worker stock kit in the end of May/June. Looking forward it!
