It is all too easy for people to forget that rabbit management is also a kindness to the rabbit... When overpopulation leads to disease and dysfunction, mere existence becomes a far more grim prospect.. given the option of a brief chase followed by swift, humane dispatchment as opposed to a long, protracted dying wracked with sickness and malaise, I know which of the two I’d choose..

I love rabbit! My local market stopped carrying it after some complaints. It's the absolute BEST meat there is! Lean....fat free...fantastic for those with issues when eating pork or beef.

Simon congrats on Middlesbrough's win on the pens today, I have been watching videos about ferrets for nearly two years now, and yearn to get some and get in about ferreting, Your videos have nailed exactly what im looking to do with my adult life, I would love to be able to have a chat with you, and hope that maybe there's a way I can reach you, hopefully you see this comment and would be kind enough to get in touch, I imagine you lead a hectic and busy life, Ferrets, Familly and Farmy outdoors stuff. it won't stun me if there isn't a reply. But id kick myself if I didn't try. Let me know, maybe we can communicate.

With respect, this show isn’t about the “poor old girl’s” appearance but is instead about her brilliant mind, her wry wit and her vast knowledge of food, cooking and gastronomic expertise. The planet lost a lot with her untimely demise.

@@ferretWhitehead Fair enough but I still strongly suspect that sustenance is not the primary motivation but rather fun and/or profit. You know, some people give their time to care for animals, others like to kill them. I'm grateful not to be in the latter category.

@@ferretWhitehead I'm aware my initial post was somewhat proactive of course. It was an interesting turn of phrase for you to say that you understand how I feel. The point is that I understand how the animals might feel! : ) It's the doing of these things for pleasure that I find hard to accept.

@@anthonyat2401 a removal of a pest that causes millions of pounds of damage a year? He does so in a safer humane and ethical manner. Go read one of his books and pass judgement then, to me this man is one the reasons I got into ferreting and love my passion.
