Why does the stock sound better

Been running mine about 2 months already no drone haves a kick on the performance needa upgrade headers as well too

Just installed today. Some clamp connections weren’t perfectly snug but took it to a shop where they did some welding. Sounds underwhelming but ok at higher RPMs. Does this become louder as it breaks in?

Installed this today on my 99 miata. I only recieved the midpipe and muffler, no hardware like the clamp or bolts. I ended up having to buy my own hardware from oriellys and i also had to cut part of the midpipe that connects to the muffler since the piece of pipe thats suppose to connect to the muffler was larger in diameter than the muffler pipe. Its a nice sounding exhaust but was a PITA to install.

Can't hear it because of the background noise.

whoever’s looking at this for a sound difference don’t waste your money. i just put it on my jt and it sounds absolutely stock still. if your looking at it just to raise your tailpipe then thats what its for and all its good for.

Going for sound is one thing but the first cat is the blockage to remove. Then you use the cat in the midpipe and whatever muffler you want. Many like BBR get 180HP at the crank out of headers and a tune, then you'll get some HP, torque and all the pops too.

How does this have no comments, because this is one of the best sounding systems I have heard on these trucks. That notchy raspy stuff with three inch long mufflers that dump before the axle just sounds like noise, and will eventually annoy the crap out of you until you cut it off and start over.

Can anyone share how much louder is this axle back than stock? Does it drone?

Will there be a CCLB system available? Or can the muffler be purchased separately for DIY System?

I just installed this on my 2011 WK and the sound is like a symphony, beautiful deep baritone with ZERO drone, peaceful serenity at all speeds, outstanding materials and quality tig welded joints....close to $1400 to the door but worth the investment if you want to make your hemi jeep enjoyable to drive again. Getting these on my z06 in the fall! Along with long tube headers and x pipe. She gonna sound nasty.

It's hard to make ELHs sound good on EJs but this sounds super crisp and clean. I like the 4-2-1 style. Most other manifolds go right into a single pipe after the merge collector.

I just got that exhaust bolted on my wrx, it doesn't rumble like that ej, but it is deeper and actually quieter on idle, but roars to life when I'm on it. It sounds very subtle at around 70, no louder than the road noise, but noticeable. That idle resonance from the stock exhaust is gone. If you have to drive a long way, you won't be tired and deaf when you get to your destination.

Did the fitment problems get fixed with these?
