Just need the ability to auto-add supports to only the filtered areas, and it would be perfect ;)

GK3 is so far incredible. I have tried only two small prints and it's going so smooth. I am trying not to get too excited till I can print some more complex prints. so will let you know. I am going to give you the credit for this machine as I saw the box in one of your video and found it eh.

New subscriber to the channel , what is the ‘parallel to the build plate ‘ problem you reference in this, please
@Lychee3dКүн бұрын
Welcome! Printing parallel to the build plate is more likely to fail than printing at an angle, it makes a bigger cross section to pull out of the fep, the smaller the cross section the better :)
@malcolmrobinson7284Күн бұрын
@ Thanks. Loving the vids btw , I’ve been a 3D printer for a couple of years now , mainly wheels/tyres/body parts for 1/24 scale cars. I bumble my way thru Lychee so these vids kinda vindicate what I have found over time. I was interested to hear the final section of the vid where you printed your m/cycle wheels and tyres parallel to the build plate - I have done this for a while now and find the accuracy and ‘roundness’ is improved, compared with printing at an angle.

Maybe have the internal islands be visually different? (ex. Light purple vs Grey and Dark purple vs Red) Hope some kind of locking/hiding gets implemented in the future (ex. ctrl+1 hide, ctrl+2 lock, and ctrl+shift number to show/unlock)

I'm using the free version, if I chose to delete some islands, are they removed from the object or just no longer listed? I seen the number of islands decrease and no more red dots on the layer preview.
@J3DTech4 күн бұрын
@@marco_carrillo You're not deleting the islands your just deleting the island detection. The only way to have no islands is to support them all or delete the entire object but then what are you going to print?

It means that they are a bit too close to the model and may collide, however Internal and so it doesn't matter.

I have a problem that i haven't seen anywhere i looked. First, the printer prints out a perfect rectangular "base" around hte base layer from one odge of the build plate to the other (parallel to hte shorter edge). Not much of aproblem, it just wastes a little more resin. But now it started printing this lump of resin, with more or less smoothe edges. I had this problem on my Photon Mono 2 and now on my Mars 4 pro. I don't know what i'm doing wrong or what i can do to fix it. edit: jsut the edges on the sides is smooth, the top and bottom edges are lumpy, as if there are supports in them but the resin has curred arround them. I've also noticed the last time that sheet of curred resin that is left in the vat when you perform the cleaning was also thinner than usual.

Just to try your setting on my Creality Mage I put in exact copy of your settings and print time was 9 hours 39 minuets, compare to basic settings resin I am using SUnlu basic is 7 hours 33 seconds. I seen no difference in print quality only difference was the 2 hours 33 minuets longer it took. Not sure why your settings would take longer seems they would speed up the time.
