A classic Hot Wheels fee-fie-faux pas. If you want to release Hot Wheels original castings at a low price, at least give them a little bit of DETAIL!!!!!!!
@RustNGasoline2 ай бұрын
Its such a strange pair of choices too. Like there are plenty of out of production castings they probably could get away with too.

Thanks for uploading this video, I was at the show and it was quite an enjoyable day. You ought to brush up on you Ferrari knowledge though, as BOTH of the ones here are actually Toyota MR2 Based, as a Genuine 288 GTO is worth a couple of £ Million
@RustNGasoline5 ай бұрын
I did have suspicions that maybe something along the lines of that. Is there a telling feature that can help identify them as mr2 based?
@SpacedOdyssey5 ай бұрын
@@RustNGasoline To the untrained eye they are good representations But the 288 GTO alone is a clue, Only 272 ever made, So you would only be likely to see one of those at Pebble Beach USA or some Posh Concourse do in London or Monaco, and the other one has an H Reg Plate, which wouldn't tie in with the 355 year. Crazy thing for the time and money spent on a conversion you could almost buy a 355

Might be worth throwing a new cambelt kit on it as well just to be on the safe side as it's be sat so long. Definitely not a hard job on these. These 8 valves were far more reliable than the 16v with their woeful head gaskets.

Had 7 Metro GTi-16vs over the years, ranging from single point to multi-point and a couple with a 1.8VVC. Always bought MOT failure 214's for spare engines and gearboxes as I did a bit of hillclimbing and sprints. Out of all those cars I never once had a head gasket failure. The cars were always well serviced and I had uprated radiators in them from the diesel Metro. I drove them like they were stolen too. The K-series is a great engine if looked after.

They didn't have a choice. BAE wanted to sell their share, and BMW undercut Honda (who had taken a loan) making an offer straight to BAE that they couldn't refuse. Had Honda got there first I do think they still would've been here.
@Azureecosse9 ай бұрын
I thought Honda ended the alliance by selling its 20% stake to BMW.
@SpitfireFortyFour9 ай бұрын
@@Azureecosse Honda had planned to take a larger stake but BMW bought out everything BAE had in Rover making them the controlling shareholder. That effectively forced Honda to sell what they had invested in Rover. They had no choice.
@cjmillsnun9 ай бұрын
They didn't have a choice. British Aerospace wanted rid. BMW wanted Land Rover's 4x4 technology. Honda didn't want a controlling stake.. It's a shame but that's how it is.
