My town used to be a huge kkk town back in the 80's and 90's and a little bit of the early 2,000s but most of the tunnels got blocked off by the town in the 2,000s

Ok, I know where this is now. Souls Harbor was in here for a while. But the interior really surprises me. Looks much older than the outside of the building. Like something from an 1880s hotel in some old cowtown on the Kansas side of the border.

What was there before? I went to elementary school in neosho 50 years ago and been trying to locate/Google Earth my old school and address ever since I'm slightly obsessed at this point. Where would I have gone to 3rd grade in...1962-1973 does anybody have any ideas??

First place in USA when I arrived, and I lived there for one year going to Columbus HS back in 1979. Then went to Pittsburg State University for 3.5 years. Small, quiet, tiny town with not much things to do there. Thx for making hard to find vid on this town.

Cool video. But no one was forced to work. The people who lived here were able to grow and raise their own food. Unfortunately in the mid 70s a law was passed and these folks were no longer allowed to work for their food. So they just sat there in this building. Suffering in horrible conditions. That’s why the SD Allen building was built. To take of them. It closed down around 96. Nice video though brother.

My Mother and Father attended School here. Mom finished the 8th grade valedictorian of her class. My father, who became a welder and sheet metal worker finished by receiving a bottle of ketchup from his teacher. I think you can figure that out. Lol. I and my two brothers were born in our home in Prosperity about three-quarters of a mile from this school. My father was born in 1918 and passed away at 94 years old in 2012. Mother passed at 71 years old in 1995. They were married 55 years! I am 59 now and as a boy or young teen, we had Halloween parties in this school though it was not being used for anything else. My grandfather who owned our home originally in Prosperity owned his own mining company called King Bee Mining. He mined lead and zinc just west of our house in what was known as the 10 O-clock tract of mines. Hope you enjoyed this information. God bless!

I went there around midnight with a friend of mine and We were close to a shed like wooden structure and something with massive sounding hooves ran by me jumped on top of this shed and disappeared it was so loud And my friend said he didn't hear anything. I get it could have been an animal. I've always been a skeptic but this thing had to have been huge and to move like that and him not hearing a thing scared the crap out of me.
