As someone who likes to daisychain fx pedals with synths I surely want to try it out. But if you have most of those fx covered in another box with more granular control I don’t see why hold on to it. I would only because I like to hoard music gear, you never know when you might need one haha I have found myself in situations like “oh you know what would do the job well here? … ahh crap, I sold it…”. Personally I like to have the choice of degree of complexity, sometimes you just want to write things down asap instead of diving into config. I think its a collection of fx with sweetspot settings and minimal control for ease of use and “getting on with it”. I will look into that Akai of yours though, bever heard of it before! I still want to grab an MPC1000 for nostalgia reasons hahah

I have both not much different 2000 xl have resampling that it the only advice of it and 3000 only 16bit can not do new jack 12bit 80s gritty sounds if you are true 80s music 2000xl is what I can use for my music

The newer SD version you have came with ruby tubes instead of the original release EMX with smart media came with Elektro Hamonix tubes that were definitely harsher and more for guitar pre amps. I refitted both of my emx and esx with JJ ECC803S gold pin matched tubes. Completely changed the sound signature of this rig in a good way. These tubes actually sing and harmonize!

It is 2024 , I had Digitakt and MPC one. Now I'm back on Electribes (EMX, ESX). They are just unbeatable, no fukin menu diving. And they are right now 20years old. Incredible.

The sampler sucks on the 3000 60 60 MKII because they don't have waves on the chop shop like the s3200 s3200XL does to edit samples so you would have to connect it to those rack samplers

Screw the haters. I didn’t get chroma console because i knew it would not sound as good as other pedals out there from the demos and all of its fx you can pretty much easily create from designated pedals that sound better. Microcosm is a different story. I will never sell that. I was crazily disappointed they didn’t do something like microcosm with other algos. I could care less about distortion drive and saturated degraded audio that is nowhere near the quality of gen loss or ribbons. Reason im harsh here is because i don’t like hologram electronics customer service. They azzhos. This justified all reasons for not getting as well as my buddy selling his a week later for the same reasons you and i listed here. Make us a new microcosm style pedal!

Get a copy of the DP Editor from Dan Nigrin/Defective Records, and it will open up the guts of this beauty as it was meant to be. Currently having fun connecting a guitar to the front jack, used the editor to dial in a nice 4U combo and let the ebow finish the madness!

I just found one at a garage sale for $80. It powered on, I bought it. Came with only a power cord. It works great!

Guys The only solution to this issue that I found was connecting your DJ Controller using an Audio RCA Cable to 3.5 mm (this end *3.5 mm* to be connected to the back of your JBL Party box) It works flawless. If you own 2 JBL party Boxes you will need to sync them using the speaker syncing mode. On the JBL 300 is very simple, all you do is press both syncing buttons on speakers simultaneously for 10 seconds. The only problem - pain in the ass is if for any reason you disconnect, you need to start the process all over again. If you're doing a gig or djing at a carne asada or backyard patio, make sure your speakers are plugged in to an electrical outlet or your speakers are 100% charge, this will minimalize any "disconnecting" issues. I learned this by trial and error/ bad experiences while doing home parties. My pain, your knowledge lol. Here is the link of the cable.

The MPC1000 would've been close to perfect if it had've been battery powered.

Filters are a little different in the xl but with JJ OS more features I had both machines still have my 2500 my opinion both machines would-be good to have i will buy another xl for the right price

Mate I’ve literally just sold my KRK as I thought this JBL would be the one! The lag is so slight it’s hardly nothing but it’s enough to totally throw out your mix 😅 gunner have to buy some monitors again now ffs 😠
