yeah yeah, i know am being padantic, but when i shoot at the target, the poa is the bulls eye. from that shots position, if its not bang on, i adjust. untill the poa matches the poi. not a tight group to one side or under . that only confirms range. sorry!!
@MSRWorkshopКүн бұрын
Technically bulls eye is wherever you tell the gun to go and you can make repeated hits there. I was hitting intentionally in those spots and not center target. I was just going for a clean space on the target that could be seen well on camera. Also if a gun can repeatedly shoot the same spot without wandering or getting fliers that’s a tell for the accuracy as well as the build quality and quality of the regulator and barrel. Lots of factors going on here :) 19yards isn’t a huge distance but in theory if a gun can do it at a close distance the same should be true for a far one… comes down to the shooter and not the equipment
@BarrieCopeland-je6lhКүн бұрын
you have a great gun, but for me the zero poi has to be the poa, or its only ranged, yeah tight groups, very impressed so much so i bought the same, in .177. good presentation,and great delivery, your just off target, mate.

You said The parallax goes down to 25 ft? Did you mean 25 yd? 25 ft is only about 8.3 yards which is pretty close and would be closer than most minimum parallax adjustments which are about 10 yds. Anyway cool video thanks for sharing.
@MSRWorkshop4 күн бұрын
Yes, meant to say yards. Thanks for the correction
@blindj4 күн бұрын
@@MSRWorkshop I didn't want to be "that guy". a while back I was looking at that scope and I thought I remembered that was the one thing that I was looking for that the scope didn't do (parallax/focus down to 10 yards) As you know sometimes pest control shots can get close inside a barn or other structure. Great video. I was just kind of double-checking because a lot of people love that scope and sometimes internet product descriptions are incorrect.
@MSRWorkshop4 күн бұрын
@ yes I love that scope as well, and the glass is crystal clear but I really wish it went down closer. I have a scope that’s a 50 power but the parallax adjustment goes as close as 5 yards. So I can zoom away in if I need to.. on something that’s fairly close.

But off topics. Just got my jet 15 inch 3 hp, minus the upper thrust bearing. I’m sure jet will shape one out but in the interim is resawing going to be an issue
@MSRWorkshop4 күн бұрын
You mean without the thrust bearing?
4 күн бұрын
@ correct, it’s simply not there
@MSRWorkshop4 күн бұрын
Strange, yes you will need that because the force applied to the blade during resawing will push the blade off the tire if it’s not there. If it’s just the actual bearing, and not the whole assembly, you might be able to steal a thrust bearing from the bottom and use it on the top if you’re in a pinch.
4 күн бұрын
@ not as much force on the lower, more of a stabilizer versus a counter force?
@MSRWorkshop4 күн бұрын
So your top and bottom thrust bearings actually don’t contact the blade until force is applied, and then it will move your blade back slightly and will come in contact with the thrust bearing. This is doing two things, one is keeping the blade from being forced off of the wheel into depending on the thrust bearing itself, can actually stabilize the blade from the rear.

I messed mine up. Ended up removing too much on the threaded part with my belt sander. now when i hand tighten it, it goes a tab too much forward causing it to not be straight with the notos. I can align it but it isn't tight enough. I couldn't sleep last night overthinking about a solution. What i came up with was a 1mm spacer between the notos and the pressure block. The other option was to insert a hollow tube of aluminium so that the threads bottom out a 1mm sooner. ugghhh

@ that’s a long way for the short of a barrel. Not saying it couldn’t be done, but I’m not sure I’m that good of a shooter and haven’t shot it at that distance. There is someone online selling aftermarket barrels that use FX liners and you can get either a 350 mm barrel or a 500 mm barrel which usually a log barrel should give you another hundred feet/s making it much more accurate as well .
