I have recently discovered I have similar hair. Your tutorials are great! Do you have any tips for cutting wavy hair?
@AlexisThereseCastillo2 күн бұрын
Thank you! I specifically tell my hairstylist I want a cut that will work for my wavy hair, so not too blunt/bulky of a cut and layers with a lot of texture!

2 hours for it to dry, though?!

You can diffuse instead! My hair is pretty thick so air drying always takes time. It’s more important to me to use as little heat as possible so I wash my hair on a day where I know I’ll be home for at least the first half!

I know! I’m so upset they don’t sell it anymore, but I actually like this one better because you can use it on wet and dry hair! rstyle.me/+CQJOncxfLBiE8Xj6TOwxTg

I am just learning how to style my waves. I had a hair trim today and my stylist recommended the WOW curly hair product. I bought it and I am excited to style my hair for later today. Thanks for your informative videos. They are very helpful as I learn how to make wavy hair work for me.

Alexis! Your hair is truly amazing done this way!!! Thank you for sharing... so many really helpful tips and it's really smart that you chose to use a leave in spray for the base product, since wet hair promotes curl clumps! See? I knew that air drying could give a great result...this proves that you don't have to diffuse hair dryer dry to get a pretty result! (Unless you have curlier hair and need tight curls!) Us who are wavy to slightly curly have options!!!😽💕

I just came upon this video. Recently, a hair stylist used some product that fried my hair. I have naturally curly hair but now half is straight. A new stylist cut a ton of hair off that was fried. I have been trying to curl the part that is straight but it doesn't always turn out and is a pain. This video is my answer. I just purchased the 3 barrel curling iron and it worked perfectly. I have the 1 1/4 curling iron but my hair won't take the curl the way yours does but hey, baby steps. I thought I was curling iron queen till your video...thank you so so much for sharing❤

Try fair olive skin, most people don't know we exist lol. The influencers that do always have condescending comments telling them otherwise, especially if they have blond hair and blue eyes. I only just found out I'm a fair olive by taking a chance and trying the fairest olive shade foundation from About Face. First time I've ever experienced a perfect match and I'm an elder millennial. It's exciting when you figure it out, tho.

I like your hair better when you wear it like this instead of crimping it
@AlexisThereseCastillo18 күн бұрын
Thanks! I don’t actually crimp it though, it’s my natural texture. It takes a LOT of heat damage to blow out my hair to get it like this. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to repair my hair over the last year and now I honestly prefer my natural texture more 🥰 I decided to blow it out because I got a new hair product during the Sephora sale I wanted to test out but I probably won’t do it again for awhile.

Do princess Polly clothes run big, small, or tts?
@AlexisThereseCastillo19 күн бұрын
Usually TTS! If you look at their size chart, I’d say it’s pretty spot on with most items! I’ve found their pants sometimes run a little bigger but tops and dresses I’m usually a true US 4.

Here lm gonna let my 2c wavy routine for anyone who maybe needs help.I start with very wet hair since water helps me a lot to absorb the products, then l apply a leave in conditioner. In my opinion leave in conditioner is a very necessary step since it makes your hair more easier to style and helps with frizz a lot! After l apply the conditioner l go in and apply some curl cream and distribute it all over my hair with my hair and doing praying hands method. After that we start styling. I normally dont section bc lm such a lazy teen mf 😭, but l do style sometimes. Now even if lm not sectioning l brush my hair to make clumps. If you don't know how to brush your hair there's a lot of tutorials how to here in yt. Next l will add some light weight mousse and scrunch in and also put some gel , but l just glance it over the hair and not scrunch bc thats what my hair seems to work better with, but you can definitely do this differently, just experiment to find what your hair likes best. After l finish all my hair l go with a t-shirt (DON'T USE A NORMAL TOWEL PLSS) and gently scrunch all the water out, following that l plop my hair for 15 or 30, it just depends. Thereafter l diffuse or air dry, but since my hair takes so long to air dry l diffuse my hair for like 20 or 15 minutes (l have that much hair 💀) and just keep air drying my hair. If l diffuse my hair all the way in, these are my steps. I hover diffuse for 10 min, hover diffusing is basically holding your diffuser from far way and hovering it around your hair. I make sure to have my roots dry and if you see your hair has formed like a cast around your clumps, your hair is ready to start diffusing right in. My hair is probably 30% dry at this point. l start to diffuse the ends and mid of my hair and when it seems my hair to be quite dry l go and start diffusing the top of my hair. I do that all of my hair like this and Tadaaa, my hair is dry! To get the crunchy feeling out of my hair l scrunch it out with some oil and we are done. And thats my wavy 2c routine, hope this is helpful!

Another suggestion, instead of going in at the end and re-curling those extra pieces for extra texture, just grab those pieces, spray it at the root, then hit the root quickly with a blow dryer which really makes those pieces noticeable. 👍🏻👍🏻Been doing it like that for years so as not to apply extra heat to the strands..

How do you sleep with it to minimize it falling out?
@AlexisThereseCastillo3 күн бұрын
Silk pillowcase is everything 🙌 and I like my hair on top of my pillow so the bottom layer is the only hair that touches my pillow. The waves created using the 3 barrel waver hold so much better than the curling iron so it works out that the bottom layer is only 3 barrel waves!
