The Embrace is so important....not the steps...they come as a result of the embrace. It took me quite a while to understand this concept having come from a professional ballet background, as everything (for the most part) is choreographed. Once I grasped this principle, everything fell into place. Thank you for showing this video!!❤

@@maggicollins4607 Was at a milonga here in Bs As. Most followers master the art of embrace. Not all of them would dance well. While the embrace is a must have starting point it requires more though. I like the idea of a variable embrace. Close or open as appropriate.

So true. Dancing in close embrace opens the doors to a new and different way to Look at argentine tango. There needs to be more precision (dissociation) in the dance but its so rewarding. In my observation here this is what people most often do. Abrazos fuertes de Bs As.

Very well explained. Unfortunately, I have issue with them. Close embrace I end up kicking her feet and hitting her knees. Maintain my balance is issues with my worn out knees and especially my ankles.

"Minha amiga, agora estou viajando nas asas da felicidade, por saber que eu tenho a alegria como minha companhia. Descobri que, as ondas do mar é para eu navegar. Então, cheio de emoção levito e flutuo nas asas das borboletas, quando caio das asas da felicidade, mergulho e navego nas ondas do mar, que me leva até você, aonde habita minha felicidade...."

Wonderful how Pablo condensed the essence of tango which is Walk/Pivot within the music in just one Hour. You would be surprised to see with how little vocabulary good Milongueros here in Buenos Aires get excellent folliwers. Pablo did. a great job to convey that Art of musical Walk.

Thank you for the tip to be precise, yet not to anticipate. I am learning to dance (salsa, bachata, cumbia, some American tango), and I find that I react very quickly and end up anticipating what the lead is doing... and then mess things up 😅. Do you have tips on how to not anticipate? The mindset of "being precise" helps me some, but was wondering what else I can be thinking/ doing, in order to respond, and not just react/ anticipate.

Thank you for posting this video-it’s exactly what I needed! I have to admit, I don’t dance; I’m a terrible dancer. My dancing is so cringe-worthy that my dog actually tries to stop me. I’m not joking-she gets so upset, it’s like she thinks I’m having a seizure or something and needs rescuing. That said, I’ve got a new video in the works where I’ll be dancing with an imaginary partner, and I was struggling to figure out how to make it work. Your video has really inspired me-thank you!
