Actually using an automated warehouse you don't have to wait. While you are picking from one tray there is already the next one ready to come to the bay. Have you seen our video case studies?

Hi, To pick a material, what I need to do ? Enter Material, or Bin ? How this system knows at which ROW is my material OR How material is mapped to each ROW ?

Hi Jay, our WMS software is used to map the tray of the VLM. With Modula’s automatic storage systems everything is already set up. The picking can be done reading the code with a barcode or by executing an order received from the ERP. The Copilot console replaces the RF scanner, and the operator sees what to pick as well as the quantity directly from the console, until the completion of the picking activity.

Tengo una pregunta, nuestra empresa acaba de instalar los silos que usan modula wms y quería hacer una pregunta. ¿Hay alguna a forma de copiar el diseño que hayamos hecho en una bandeja en el programa wms y poder pegarlo directamente en otra bandeja que queramos? Pregunto por el diseño de las gavetas, y la misma información que hayamos metido en ese dibujo. Mi pregunta es si se puede copiar y pegar un diseño acabado numeros de serie, referencias y cantidades. No sólo copiar o dejar guardado el diseño de las gavetas que usemos, hablo también de todo lo que hayamos metido, si hay algún comandó de copiar esa bandeja entera y pegarla en otra. Muchas gracias.

Ciao, il messaggio appare sulla console Copilot del Modula e non sul display della picking station. Ergonomicamente è la scelta migliore perché il messaggio è più leggibile 😉

From the videos I've seen, even when the machines are short (small travel distance) and storing lightweight parts and using a double tray, the Modula VLM seems to take about 30 seconds to retrieve and return each tray. This seems too slow to use for order fulfilment, even when batch picking and manning a "pod" of nearby multiple machines. Are you able to offer anything faster?

Does the machine has the capacity to manage two different temperatures in the bay and in the storage area ?

We control the temperature with different sensors in the bay and inside the VLM. But we can’t manage different temperatures in the 2 areas. If the temperature in the bay is too high, due to long picking operations (for example), we can quickly force it down.

Hi Susan, Modula has a colour graphical interface with simple icons that are extremely intuitive and does not require any particular operator training for everyday operation 😉
