Hi Michael, I am a metal fabricator by trade and do work in the residential, commercial / hospitality industry. I am curious what your thoughts are on the x12 in terms of providing utlity with regards to being able to design our weldment profiles directly from point cloud model generated by X12. The idea is that we would essentially come in with our scanner once footings / stem walls have been poured and do our initial scan. From that point forward, every design phase we are involved in we would do subsequent scans. In my mind, if the scans generated are accurate enough for us to build from, this would save a tremendous amount of time for us, as well as avoiding headaches when it comes to install day. There is not a lot of content talking about the X12 being used in this capacity. I have seen a few videos demonstrating it's value "in-house" in the actual production phase but I would like to essentially be able to use the device prior to that element, to collect the raw data which would then allow us to generate the weldments we need.

The biggest impact on the level being out on an instrument or back site is the plump line to the mark, you will not impact a forced cantered traverse, but your independent setup on the same marks will immediately show any error in the plump site being off because the tribrach wasn't level. This is because the 0.001mm error will be around 10 times higher when you project the error 1.5m down to the mark.

Hi. I’ve got an unusual question. I’ve done all my processing, cleaned up my baselines and deleted out the unnecessary ones. However now I find I want one particular baseline back. How can I do that with TBC without loosing all of my other baseline edits please?

Your Cross section example for the geoid/ellipsoid/ground is "wrong". Not wrong but at least confusing in the way it's shown. In your representation, N would be a negative value, so "H-N" would be equal to adding absolute H and N. At times the geoid is "above" the ellipsoid and it's easier in that representation to visualize H-N.

Do you have any resources on what Cholesky method in leveling is? Also, I’m trying to run dual line leveling without closing the loop. Is this not possible with DiNi, or I’m just missing something maybe. Any help or resources is greatly appreciated!

Hi Michael, with indoor mode is the 3” levelling still active? I'm assuming it is and it's just the collimation and distance checks that are omitted, along with a lower point density and distance. Please can you confirm? Are there any differences with indoor mode for the x9, I think it supports precision point as well. Thanks

I have the same Problem. I cant connect to P4 RTK with Wifi , If I turn on Wifi and then P 4 RTK WILL DISCONNECT TO RC. Only the DJI M300 RTK and the Mavic 3 RTK can access Wifi and remote control in parallel. Is there a solution for the P4 RTK?

Hi, I'm a long years Trimble Access user and so enjoyable to use it and growing with the all-new functionality you provide for us. I need help from you to understand what I'm doing wrong, or is an issue with the app. In the company, we use TSC5 with Access version 2021.21. The issue we have is at STAKEOUT. (I set up all previously in SURVEY STLE). When stakeout points or lines-VIEW BEFORE STORAGE doesn't work, or work it rarely happens that he shows me before I store. 2nd When stakeout a line, usually just store nothing-no any CODE, and I need to get back manually to add something... 3rd Issue is when I set up "LAST CODE USED", I need to use TOPO to store the new code, and later get back to STAKEOOUT, then I use "LAST CODE USED", and it save's the code prom previous PROJECT I used a day ago! 4th-Why we don't have a PREFIX or SUFIX to DESIGN CODE? (This will be the most useful option, not just for the POINT NAME, who is using Civil 3D, you know that names have to be just numbered! Please help! my email: [email protected] I'm and Senior surveyor from New Zealand. P.S. I spoke to other surveyors from another company, and is the same issue.... Thanks, for that usefull video; you calculate the points of a corner, why do not you navigate en calculate inside the model?, but when you are staking out in the field, perhaps a filter to the place or level your working and not seeing other levels or information is needed. Very profesional video.
