Streets of New Capenna is my favourite Magic the Gathering set. First I was sceptic, but after looking through the cards, I realised how fantastic the flavour and the world building in general is in this set. Besides the general style and the amazing art, there are a lot of really powerful cards! I hope we will return to the plane one day again and explore the unknown parts of Capenna and dive deeper in its history. There’s a lot of potential for having a second Capenna set.

One of my favorite artworks of Liliana is by Yoshitaka Amano, the infamous concept artist for Final Fantasy. I believe it was printed on some Japanese copies of Liliana, Dreadhorde General, but I may be mistaken.

Some of my favorite art came from this set. There is so much cemitry, beauty, iconography, and practicality wrapped up with a sinster gangster smile, plus the word puns in the set are on point 😆. Great job pairing art and music to nail down the feel of New Capena. Cheers! 🍻

@@ambientmultiverse Right, New Capena is the red headed step child of MTG planes but I really enjoyed the world building of the families, how each family had their own roal in that world, and in my opinion Wizards nailed the marketing technique of taking something familiar and adding a new twist to make the familiar interesting. It's one my favorite sets but it's understandable why people may not like it.
