When you listen to the song enough times, and sing the song enough times, you start to become almost exactly like what you try to imitate. My mothers vocal coach told her to do this in highschool for a solo part that she wanted to get. Listen to the song 10 times a day, and sing along 10 times a day. Do this for a year, and you will sound exactly like the original singer. She got the solo, and the audience was stunned.
