Play this back at 1.1x speed to get that 80's feel. This is great, but feels slow.

As someone lucky enough to see them perform this around the time it was released, this new version is good, but doesn’t come close to the original live version. This song was capable of making every hair stand up on my body - the pace, power and Edge’s two guitar solos ( especially the extended one at the end). This version is sung beautifully but is performed too slow. This song remains my favourite U2 track ever and one of my favourite singles ever released by any band or artist. Bought on release and still have the original copy.

The performance at redrocks of this song was amazing. It was played at a higher tempo and the solo from the edge was beautiful, captured that evening perfect.

I play guitar. 15 years ago the UABRS version was the first song I learned to play properly all the way through. I remember looking up transcriptions and spending hours getting it perfect. The song isn't hard but back then i was just a kid and not very good. I've spent half of my life with this song, and now with kids of my own these lyrics are like brand new. It's like it's grown up with me. ...and this version was always my favorite. That solo is a serious upgrade.

Who REALLY runs our world? US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has come out and blamed the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, etc) for ruining her political career. While in congress she refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, McKinney said “war was declared” on her by the Jewish lobby. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Pro Zionist Israeli interests.” w(dot)zioncrimefactory com/jew-world-order

I'm born and raised in NY and Saturday 4/23/11 was the first time I ever saw a show at this venue. It might be the best place in NY for concerts. Holds about a thousand. The people who saw this gig must of had the best time imaginable. A guy told me the best place for sound is in the balcony section. There isn't a bad viewing spot in the whole place.

There is something harmonically interesting happening at 4:03. I think Bono resolved the tension in the progression, but the Edge wasn't done making it, well, tense.
