Thanks for the best and clearest video on this type of project! the plans in the link are thorough and clear. The diagram showing all of the pieces together really help and make it easier to customize my own design by simply altering the pieces in the way I want. A+

2024 and I have the Sony a7iii and a7v but want to do some tide pooling in Alaska. I don't want to chance my more expensive equipment so was wondering if my Sony 6000 could do the job. Definitely plan to try and will be considering the tubes although I have the 70-350 and it does pretty good macro work. Your video lives on and so does my first Sony camera.

You stated the 16-50 is good at 10" or further. Your shots look a lot closer than that. I have been unable to get Macro closeup shots with this camera and stock lens. Can you advise?

I liked it, it was very nice to see the process and the simple way to explain it without going around so much. I have one from the Westcott brand and assembly and disassembly seem somewhat laborious to me, but since I don't have a fixed studio I hardly use it, at least not now. However, it seems to me that the project that I present for a fixed space is very good. By the way, I made a tri-reflector with foamboard and aluminum that gave excellent results, the only detail was to stabilize it with stands, which I achieved by making some holes to insert the tips of the stands and that's it, problem solved. Thank you very much for reminding us that a lot can be achieved with little money and good imagination. Greetings from Mexicali, Baja California. Mexico

Compost tea has been proven ineffective over and over. In fact, the University of Arizona discovered it can be outright dangerous. This technique can breed salmonella and E. coli. In Korea it has even caused cholera epidemics. I advise you do some serious research before perpetuating this myth. If someone gets hurt, you could be held liable.

I have a doubt regarding the Smile Shutter feature on the a6400. Do I need to turn it back on every time? I even tried to save a custom preset (MR), but when I restart the camera, the smile shutter is off again. :( I tried to Google the forums but haven't been lucky to find the same issue reported. I would appreciate any suggestions 😅
