Hello, I need some technical help in Bubble. I am creating an App in which the user creates projects and tasks associated with the project. To simplify, I have in my database: The fields Task (Task name (text type), Project (Project type), Done (Yes/No type)) Project (Project name (text type), Tasks (List of tasks), Start date (Date type)) In the interface I have an input for the project name and another for the closing date At the bottom of these inputs I have an input for the task name and an "Add task" button next to it. Then a last button "save the project" How for example to create a project with 5 tasks associated with the project? and that the project is also linked to the tasks? I tried everything in vain. I do not master Bubble perfectly. Thanks in advance.

Hey there -- a lot of factors can change the actual workload units used, but the raw value of creating a database record is 0.5 workload unit. Try uploading a small list in your dev environment and reviewing your metrics to see the result. That'll be the best way to plan accurately! 💪❤️

Would it be beneficial to use an affordable back end service like Supabase to store all your data and workflow logic and you only use Bubble to present that data (just the front end) to try and limit your Bubble’s workload unit consumption?

Usually it's not necessary to take that extra step unless you have very specific needs for using an external database. If you're not sure, we always find it most beneficial to start with Bubble's database and only move away if there's a particular reason to at some point. Again, though, usually it isn't necessary if you're building the app correctly and efficiently.

Yes, searching your app's own database is actually one of the primary ways of populating your designs and workflows with that data. Bubble has an expression called "do a search for" -- that's where you want to get started.

Yes, you can create a marketplace on the first paid plan. Depending on how your app evolves (level of activity, complexity, etc.), you may need to upgrade or add more workload over time. It really depends on your app as a whole, but you can definitely release a marketplace on the first paid plan.

Great video! Can you explain the database structure of users being subscribed to a module/lesson? I assume you could have a data type for either users on the module table or modules on the user table, however, how then would you track things like progress or custom notes for each of those modules/lessons? Yes, the User type can have a list of Modules to indicate what each User is subscribed to. For progress and notes, use a separate data type that joins the User, Lesson, and Note/Progress details.
