@@jakraziel best of luck with that, if you want to build it to be more historically accurate then the cupola should also be in 4BO

You achieved a really nice textured look with your postshading! Improvement vice maybe you could try to make the highlights directional, as in lighter in the top and darker towars the bottom?
@modellingseb3 ай бұрын
@@juholehtinen5800 Thanks a bunch but i’m not a big fan of directional post shading, most my stuff is artistic rather than realistic, I will probably do it when I make a diorama with a light source such as flood lights

Yea, this T-34 tank looks really good. It is for sure an interesting mono-tone scheme. I myself have been having fun with these type of schemes, as they are challenging, and fun. Look forward to the next chapter in the T-34 story.
@modellingseb6 ай бұрын
I’m really glad you enjoyed it, I love improving monotone colour schemes in any way possible, how would you normally do it?
@mexicanboy86 ай бұрын
Similar to what you did, but also the traditional modulation like Adam Wilder. Straight colors of different shades. Lighter coats towards the top. And sometimes cloudy sprays with lighter tones on upper portions and sometimes on center of panels. Even using oil and shader inks to add the modulation. I like to experiment.
@modellingseb6 ай бұрын
@@mexicanboy8 experimenting is the best part of this hobby in my opinon, it just makes it so unique and to you. I honestly havent had much luck with the way that Adam Wilder does his colour modulation but he has been making a M22 recently which made me buy the kit and was planning on taking heavy inspiration from him

Excellent video. This is a cool subject for sure. I've also seen an SU-76i in German service which is a similar recaptured story. Your use of the watercolour pencils for the markings looks great, as does your post-shading. Looking forward to the next video!

Thank you so much, the watercolour pencils are great but they can be a bit weird, definitely gonna have to touch up on them later. Also I just want to say that I absolutely love your work and you are by far my biggest inspiration when it comes to model making.

How do you feel about one piece trank molds for tank kits?
@modellingseb11 ай бұрын
I think they are good on very small scale kits, like 1/72 or 1/100 because they would be too much of a pain to put on seperately, but they would be quite annoying on larger scales because cleaning them up would be hard and also then painting them would be hard cause you can easily paint tracks and roadwheeks seperately but if they were one piece your only choice is to mask.

To add to the confusion - this one (the land T-40 version) was also known as T-40, T-40S, T-30 or T-60 (but only before the true T-60 was produced). All in the official documents. 😆
@modellingseb Жыл бұрын
yh the history behind it is mad, i had a longer part about the tanks history but it became too long to add.
@foszasty Жыл бұрын
@@modellingseb I run a quick query through history books and I am really puzzled where HobbyBoss got the T-30S name. In the books it is either T-30 or T-40S and Kubinka's one (which this one look like being based on) was labeled as T-30. 🤔
@modellingseb Жыл бұрын
@@foszasty from what i read the T-30s was the T-30 with the 20mm instead of the DShK. i really don’t know as that’s the only thing i could find that referenced the T-30s
