Thanks Robin. It was an amazing adventure, and so cool to share it with a great bunch of people. I had wonderful support from family and friends in Waihi & NZ, and my goal was to make film that showcased the event in a way that they could understand how it worked, the cause and the people I met along the journey. Glad you enjoyed it. I'd like to hear about your Te Araroa trip too - I'm intrigued 🙂

Wonderful video, strong preference for bid and water sounds at the beginning over the harsh "music" that followed. Please consider the benefit to viewers to as much of of the multi sensory experience as possible since we can't be there in person.

Nice work you two, looks amazing and have just booked for next march 2025. Nice to see some points of interest, cheers. Just one thing ...... the 4th day Stern Valley to specimen hut.... you've posted at end of day 14.7km and just over 3hrs to complete this section ?? My homework on the track I've got here is showing 25km average 7hr walk?? Not sure if you guys ran this section or what I have infront of me is incorrect. Cheers and thumps up here from christchurch

Thanks @kerry8553. I see the confusion... we stopped half way through Day 4 for lunch, and I stopped my watch so it's recorded in two separate stages. Your research is correct. It's 42 km from Stern Valley hut to the the Rough & Tumble Lodge, and 17 from Specimen Point to Rough & Tumble. Hope you have a great trip, and enjoy your time in the wilderness.

Hi Paul. We used Hike'n'Bike (an official trail partner) to relocate our vehicle from the start at Lyell to the Rough & Tumble Lodge at Seddonville. They were great to deal with, and our car was just 'magically' sitting in the carpark when we arrived. www.hikenbikeshuttle.co.nz They use a lockbox system for swapping keys, it's very simple.

Hi there, We at MSC are currently in the final stages of producing a track guide/safety video for the Old Ghost Road in conjunction with the Mokihinui/Lyell Backcountry Trust and Department of Conservation. Would you mind if we used some of the footage in your video with snow coverage on the track? This is a safety consideration we want to make sure the viewers are aware of, but we had no snow on track when we filmed! Just let us know what you think and if you'd be okay with us using the footage for that purpose. We would of course credit you either by name or your channel, whichever you would prefer. Love the video! Cheers, the Mountain Safety Council team

Hi guys. No problem at all with you using some footage for your safety video. Probably credit; Mark Samson - DesignShed if that's OK? If you have any specific segments you like, then I could probably send you the original footage to help keep the quality up? Just let me know the time from and to. Cheers
