I have read that "God created vowels so that Karin Bergquist could enunciate them."

Song is great; sound is decent, the video is very shaky. Dude, please buy a mono-pod! You'll never regret it.

Ex for the heads up. And apologies for the fidelity. (My singing prob doesn't help!! Wish Eric had known the lyrics better! But damn it was an amazing moment!)
@dougbalt11 жыл бұрын
I wish this video had better fidelity. Eric is now touring with Delta Rae, and they're getting more popular. He's a very talented songwriter, singer, and pianist.

This IS a great video. The song will have new exposure after some of it was on today's interview with OTR on All Thing's Considered with Melissa Block. While that interview was mostly about the new CD The Long Surrender, it caused me to go back and listen to this whole song. This is serious, intense, adult, American poetry/music sung and played with genuine, heart searing passion.

Breathtaking song by a woman who sings like she is being born. Awesome. I keep hearing a sax singing back to her. Beautiful overall sound.

Thank you. 'When I Go' is one of the most unknown, greatest songs by Over the Rhine. You did a great job on this video. I really wanted to be on this Cayamo cruise, so I appreciated this 7:44 minutes of heaven.

That's so great that you found the video. (Sorry didn't reply sooner -- I've not been on KZbin much lately. You really had a great seat at the table. Did you know Brandi and the Sixth Man folks were going to be playing there too? Best, Steve p.s.-I grew up in Taunton, MA: you don't by any chance live near there, do you?
