The CPU can still game especially OCed and at 1440p where it is harder to bottleneck it. I have brand new(new in boxes that have been in storage for years) Asus Z97 A and the i74790k that I am going to build soon, for a back up, and because retro hardware is fun. Will put my old 5700xt in it and some decently fast ram. Also, MS recently removed the Win11 restriction on older hardware so it will (clean)install now without having to jump through registry hoops.

Why would you spend 40 usd premium for resselers corsair, fractal, instead of buying from manufacturers like EVGA or FSP, Foxtron(foxcon) you don't need premium power supply for your 8 core and single graphics card gaming build.

Do not buy the B550M PRO 4, I've had this bored for quite a while and I and many other are expirenceing a technical issue of all usb ports randomly disconnecting and reconnecting quite frequently ASROCK has remained quite about tgis issues and it's a 50/50 chance of a fix with a few fixes online if your porta stop working all together

I find it really annoying that ASUS has not released a Strix Micro-ATX. I don't need the additional PCI E from a FUll ATX mobo (and i have a 5080, so it ends up covering most of that space anyways) And Mini ITX is both a pain to build with and also very hard to remove and upgrade equipment. Seriously Micro ATX is the ideal form factor. You can go for SFX coolers to make it smaller.

I got the RX 7800 XT NITRO+, I do 300FPS on APEX 1080p, 240fps on Fornite, 150fps on warzone. You may want to upgrade to 5700x3d for 1080p and 1440p as it has 10-15% bottleneck.
