How come it seems like your truck eats steer tires? Seems like you get a new one every other month

If you're worried about fuel mileage, why are you driving that truck?
@806Driver2 күн бұрын
Not worried bout fuel mileage, but would like to get the best I can out of it.. Not gonna drive an under powered Tupperware truck.
@calvinspiff43482 күн бұрын
@806Driver no malice here. Sorry if it comes off that way. I'm a company driver. I've only been driving for 11 months. I'm slowly saving to buy a used truck. I want to be a successful owner-operator. Why does it matter what the truck looks like? I haul general freight. If I drive 65 mph instead of 70 mph, I'll reach my destination +/- 15 slower, but I'll save 25+% in fuel cost. If fuel is the number one expense and aerodynamics plays a huge part, who cares what the truck looks like? I want to run a profitable business. I'm not trying to look cool to people I don't even know. It looks like you're hailing a tanker. Those loads aren't as heavy as dry van loads, right? How much power do you need to pull 30k lbs? Again, I'm not making fun of you. I just don't understand the logic? I may be wrong, but it seems like you just like classic trucks, which is fine, but just say that you like it because from my perspective, a calculator says that classic style trucks aren't efficient aerodynamically to maximize profit, and the notion that a ton of power is needed to pull 30k lbs just isn't true. I haul anywhere from 30k-80k lbs just fine. I'm open to constructive criticism
