Elliott was prescribed Gabapentin (Neurontin) for partial seizures, which was approved for treatment of partial seizures by the FDA in 1993. It wasn't until 2014/15 after a string of overdoses involving narcotics paired with gabapentin that it became more clearly known that gabapentin potentiates opioids.

Finally feel satisfied with the way i play this on guitar. Took me a long time to "nail it". Hes an amazing guitarist and basically every instrument he plays. He was an earth angel too good for this world. He saved me on numerous occasions. He gives voice to the feelings you cant explain and makes you feel better or at least better about not feeling okay.

Elliotts songs he considered his b grade or not good enough for albums qere some of his best writing in my opinion. He would hang onto a song for YEARS before releasing it because he was a perfectionist. Hed hone it several times before he was done. Thats why so many songs have alternate versions. God i love this man. He is gone but hes a major part of my life so hes still here for me.

God the alcohol line makes my sick come back... I got the chills and craving so hard and they wont stop as the song intensifies. My body is like a cactus ive got goosebumps so much...but im much stronger than a can or bottle. Amazing song...
