Bassman, one of my favorite calipsoes to play in my steeldrums. I had the privilege of playing it with the Ebonites Vintage Steelband conducted by the steelpan crafter Hillary Baga Rezende. That steelband gathered about 20 old panmen from Frederiksted, St. Croix and was sponsored by gubernatorial candidate Dr. Cora Christian. For me it was an unforgettable experience of a old days panyard, There was no ilumination in the panyard. Then we took part in the Christmas Parade where we gain the acceptance of the public .
