Yes it has! Better, in fact, than I thought it would. It's easy to set, and I really only need it when my arm needs a break. And I absolutely love my bike. My friends keep telling me I need to trade up to a newer GS...because they have Cruise Control...but this beast is solid, dependable, and just keeps chugging along.

Very nice video. You mentioned the file size you end up with when you import your PEF file then convert it into DNG in Lightroom. Is there a reason you don't just shoot in DNG since Pentax allows you to choose between the two? I've always just shot in DNG on my digital Pentax bodies but never really explored if there was a difference between a DNG in camera vs one through conversion.
@PulpFreePress
@PulpFreePress 9 ай бұрын
You know, I'm not sure if there's a difference either. I am assuming, perhaps in error, that the PEF files, being in the camera's raw sensor format, contain every possible piece of image data. I will have to make a few images in PEF and DNG and make a comparison.

you pretty much have to have a reason to learn it otherwise its just building useless programs that you can already download in 20 seconds, in other words you definetly want to have a unique real world application youre applying it to otherwise it just going to go to pot
@PulpFreePress
@PulpFreePress 11 ай бұрын
Good point. I'd also add that you don't **really** learn a programming language (or the art of programming) unless you attempt a non-trivial, real-world application...and then build two more so you have several under your belt.

I changed the database site url and home url to local url, checked that the settings in hosts file are correct and when I ping to local, I get a response. However, when I put the local url in browser, it redirects to the live site. Not sure why this is happening. PLEASE HELP!!!
@PulpFreePress
@PulpFreePress Жыл бұрын
Hi Ellis, take a deep breath! OK, generally, this is the issue. Your local database may still link to your production site. The name of your local site in the Wordpress General Settings should be completely different, with a different URL than your production site. So, if your production site is: mysite.com, your local site's URL should be mysite.local.com or similar. Make this change in your local Wordpress General Settings and save the settings. This should update your local database with the proper URL. If this still gives you problems, I can jump on a Zoom call and help you sort it out.

Sorry, me again... the biggest stumbling block is to put the output back to where my text cursor is in my text document to make in a real autocorrect function. Is there a library to do this? Every C/C++ program that I've seen seems to be content to write in its own little window...
@PulpFreePress
@PulpFreePress 2 жыл бұрын
No problem. If you want to get really deep into precise console cursor placement with dedicated areas of the console reserved for specific messages or I/O, then you might want to check out .NET Curses: www.nuget.org/packages/dotnet-curses Also, the System.Console class has methods to get and set the cursor position: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.console.setcursorposition?view=net-6.0 Another idea, if you're not wedded to the console, is to create a Forms application and use a Textbox.
