Hey, thanks for watching! Here is the video I did on the shocks… DynoJet Power Vision (PV3) and 13” Shocks on the Dyna! kzbin.info/www/bejne/baKXpaxoosmGrMU They are Drag Specialties 13” chrome HD shocks. For the price, they are awesome… the bike rides so much better over the stock shocks, and despite being the “heavy duty” version, they are not too stiff or harsh alt all. I highly recommend these if you don’t want to fork over the money for Olin’s or Legends.

All I heard was "Pins oot" and I was thinking "I wonder exactly where in Canada this is?" Because its pretty. But don't worry I am from Texas and one thing Texans don't do is make fun of other peoples accents or way of talking. I mean can you imagine the hell we would be inviting if we picked that fight? But as a Texan (with a very noticible accent) I lived both in Vancouver (Both Vancouver proper and Burnaby) as well as living in Banf, Whistler and of course last but not least Calgary. Not once did I become the butt of any jokes about my accent and even when it was discussed it was done so with respect and genuine interest. I fell in love with Canada and her people. It was so much like the hospitality of Texas I never was allowed to feel homesick or out of place. And may I say that is some of the most damn fine out of the box thinking in both design and execution in a trailer like this I have ever seen. Ingenuity is an admirable trait. I applaud your efforts and the results can not be disputed.
@EDENSASHES100
@EDENSASHES100 17 күн бұрын
By the way, I know from experience that yall dont really worry about stuff like this mostly because you just really dont need to, but you might want to cover your plates when filming outside in case someone takes the notion to come steal your pretty trailer, bike or whatever else low life thieves like to think of taking. I mean hell, I do it because just because we all own guns here in Texas don't mean I really want a big mess to clean up in the garage. Nah but seriously though. Better safe than sorry where your family is involved is my motto. Ya'll stay blessed in the great white north and stay warm.

Good point you have there. This is actually my dad’s trailer, which he keeps at his place… not much to worry about for theft around here or there, but it isn’t unheard of. Fortunately for us Ontario adopted some pretty good privacy laws… near impossible to find where people live or who/where vehicles are registered anymore… that used to be all public information.

@mr.handsome7689 hey, few things to check: - compression… should be around 150psi - spark plug… put in a new one correct for the bike… I’ve wasted a lot of time with bad/wrong plugs - crank seals… make sure they are holding pressure (important on 2 strokes) - take your reed valve out and ensure it isn’t damaged/dirty/bent… you want to ensure it closes flush without any light shining through, otherwise it will never run… I suggest new boysen reeds - verify bright blue/white spark when kicking it over… not yellow

Dude, get a liter bike and performance that gies with it. This whole video makes zero sense to me at all. What the ark are trying yo accomplish ither than piss off the neighbors. This is a harkey mebtality, go get a harley snd orgasm over whatever. I like the stock exhaust and its sound. Same 2015 silver/black . To each their own. I like the ease, very natural feeling. The bike is forgiving too, relatively light gor a cruiser. 5'11'", 205 lbs. Fairing, curved windshield, led , seat, custom levers, quick release bags, and definitely a new seat. And a few mknor electric gizmos. I cruise fir pkeasure, not for racing competition. The bike is fast enough for highways, you can pass what you need to pass. 85 -95 mph hiw fast fo you really want to be.
@JMKGarage
@JMKGarage 29 күн бұрын
Hey... Maybe you got the wrong impression from this video... I bought this bike new in 2016, at which time I traded in my 2013 CBR600rr. I made this switch for something a little more comfortable for longer rides with the wife, and to keep myself out of trouble as we were planning to start our family back then and I wanted to ride more responsibly. Before taking delivery of the bike, I purchased all these aftermarket parts... not necessarily to make it faster, but to customize it and make it my own... I rode the bike home from the dealership and installed all parts with only 32km on the odometer. Years later, after buying a few other sport bikes and finally considering selling this Shadow (as I rarely rode it) I decided to make this video to demonstrate for myself and others if doing these mods actually increased the bike's performance... as you saw at the end, they did not. Interesting results as everyone always claims how much faster their bikes feel with an intake and exhaust, especially the "Harley guys" as you mentioned. Fast forward a couple years and you can now call me a "Harley guy" as well... I bought a 2004 Harley Dyna for the same price that I sold the Honda Shadow for (essentially the same mileage too). In stock form I was happy with the bike, especially compared to the Honda (more power and better comfort). I have since replaced the seat, handlebars, exhaust, intake, tune, etc., and I now fully understand why Harley has such a "cult" type of following. I've shared several videos of this bike (the Harley), including the >20% acceleration gain with the mods (much better than how the Honda responded). Next up I am boring it our with high compression pistons and performance cams... expecting to go from ~60hp (stock) to ~100hp at the wheel. Again, you are right... if want pure speed and power a litre bike is the way to go, but that isn't what either of these bikes are about.

Our youngest is turning 1… joust bought him Honda 50 for when he turns 3 as well, but want to try him on a Stacyc first, around the age of 2. The nice thing about these bikes is that they hold their value, so if your kid doesn’t enjoy it you would easily resell.

I struggled with the helmet mount camera view but had to give up. 40mph knocks about 10°c off if I recall correctly. I'm ok down to 60f at 50mph but any lower I would head for built up areas with lower speed limits. In the UK the Formotion clock and thermometer are a bit spendy but can you have too many dials?.

To be honest, I’ve never pulled off great footage with my POV camera… I’m using the insta 360 (360 degree cam) on the helmet here… allows me to chose the field of view in the editing software. Yeah, below 20C can get a little cool at speed… I’m still riding at 10C, but that gets cool… I’ve road at 0 before, but you really need to be bundled up for that on all bike without fairings. I’m sure the damp air in UK also makes the ride feel colder. Still riding yours, or done for the season?

HD factory install for the exhaust flange is a typo. Cross reference everything with metric torque. The best way to get water in the bearings and everywhere else is pressure washing. I've seen it done along with every professional chemical going. Then it's HD's fault that everything isn't ip67. I'm on my third Harley since 1988. It's not rusty or for sale. Bit miffed they went single disc around 03. Great if it's the look you prefer. 100% make it your own. My neighbours so far have all said how much they love the sound of my Harley echoing around the hills. Loud pipes let them stop worrying if I got back ok. Happy days from sunny Devon.

Completely agree with you on pressure washing the bike… I pressure wash my dirt bikes after nearly every ride to get the called on mud off… that’s unavoidable. I’ve only sprayed water on my Harley twice, once when I bought it, and the other after it got quite dirty from the rain… avoiding water around the wheel bearing of course. A local mechanic is always sharing photos of bearing and electrical failures from the use of water when cleaning.

I probably rode about 275,000 miles on that thing😂 My 50 had NO brakes (had to Fred Flintstone it to stop) it had a 6v Volkswagen coil mounted under the seat for spark. My dad used a hose clamp to run a piece of 3/4" steel pipe from just under the tank to about 30" past the rear wheel. AND .....it had an Illinois license plate on the back for a fender !!

Actually, the first gokart I built back before I was 16 and could drive yet… turned out to be a nice gokart, although it’s in rough shape now… when I was almost done building it, before having a seat or pedals or anything yet, I couldn’t wait any longer to ride it so I put down a piece of wood for the seat and tied the throttle cable to my shoe lace… no brakes… I rode all around the block (out in the country) many times, racing cars at over 50mph like that 🤣
