the used VAG part (like many other thermostat inserts) fits into the housing, but it is no useful solution, because the Mahle product used is specified at 75°C and its function ist "the orher way round". If this modification will beinstalled, the return cooler will be blocked until the Temperature reaches 75°C and then the Thermostat will open. So there will be no fluid flow or hot fluid flow. As result, the fuel goes back to the tank at high temperature. The original Part will be open at lower Temperatures and closes at 50°C, by this the Fuel is cooled down to 50°C.

Is the full door disassembly only necessary if the donor door needs parts? I have 2 black w203s. One a 2002 c320, one a 2005 c240. C240 has a big dent in the door. I planned on just disconnecting everything and simply swapping the doors and leaving the modules and regulator in place. Will that not work?

@elomeli211 my "new" donor doors where incomplete. That was the reason for which I had to do all the work. Otherwise the front passenger door, rear doors can be directly swapped from car to car without removing all the internals. You will have to disconnect the electrical connectors from within the car. Most likely they should be found on the pillar area. Good luck.

@kan815k the charger is not in sync with the engine. It is controlled by the ecu through the diverter butterfly flap when to go in boost and when to divert air and not be on boost. It is not related to engine timing.

@kan815k watch all my videos. It helps me grow this channel. The timing chain tensioner needs to be new. It has a cover made out of plastified rubber. Looks like a bottle cap. Can't recall the tensioner having a washer. It wouldn't make sense since it sits inside the engine and not outside.

@beingsneaky unfortunately I can't provide videos on demand. What i can do is tell you how to replace the spring. The lower control ar that holds the spring is held in in 3 points, 1st point towards center side of car where you also do the camber adjustment, the shock absorber connection point which is present close to the wheel and the wheel to hub connection point which is also close to the shock absorber connection point. You will need a jack to press on the bottom side of the control arm, raise it up and keep spring in tension. Disassemble the wheel to hub and shock absorber connection points and easily release the jack. Spring tension will release and you can take out the old spring and replace it with a new one. If the car is on a 2 post elevator use a gearbox jack to press on the control arm, if car is on ground use a normal tire shop jack to press on the control arm. Reassemble everything in reverse order of dissassembly.

I'm trying to remove the oil pan, but I'm having difficulty getting enough clearance.. At 13:40 you mention installing 4 M12 screws of at least 120mm in length with large adjustable nuts to keep the engine support up. And at 15:07 you mention the removal of the steering support. Is that all that's required? What about using a jack under the transmission bell housing? Will that work to lift the engine far enough to remove the oil pan?

@roseyandgoats27 I don't recommend supporting the entire engine and gearbox assembly from a jack from underneath the car. 1st because of safety reasons and second because of you need clearance to work under the car. Use an engine support beam from uptop (above). This is the best hill Billy method that i could find. I didn't want to remove completely the subframe from the car due to fact that it requires more work from my side.

It could be beneficial to use some penetrating spray on bolts before attempting to undo them, especially if they haven't been removed for a while, if at all. Also, when a bolt is stubborn, apply some heat to the area which helps to soften any loctite and break down any corrosion. This will minimise bolt breakages .... good work though and remember to use copperslip or similar when putting the bolts back in to prevent future corrosion

@@AlexAndreiZAR I haven't already removed the chain and the timing gear, but looking at the internal indicators between the timing and the camshaft it seems to be not aligned correctly for the right cam, I see that the internal indicator is one tooth above the gear external that you change in the video.. while with the left cam the timing and cam are set correctly. I repeat I still have to remove the timing from the original once..

@jackrice5533 take the belt buckle from the right seat and connect it into the seat where the error code is present. Delete the error code and scan again. This is the cheapest method (zero cost) to see if replacing the existing belt buckle solves your issue.

@mentesanaincorporesano in video part 3 at 3:10 I talk about how to remove the power steering pump, actually I just detach it from the engine and leave it there hanging. You don't really need to remove the alternator but I think it helps, I can't really remember. Anyways using an E10 or an E12 deep socket or normal socket (can't really remember the size) with an extension you can unscrew the 3 bolts. For the 2 bottom bolts you have to feel them with your fingers and guide the socket on them. First unscrew the bottom bolts and then unscrew the top bolt. The bottom bolts are easy to access. The top bolt is also easy to access but only through a finger tight channel from the right side of the car towards the left side of the car.

@nestorortiz260 I think you should first use an electrical contact cleaner (from WD40 is preferable) on the electrical socket found under the seat. Blow dry with compressed air the electrical socket. Try and delete the error. See if error reoccurs. What is the exact error code that you get?

@gopropit617 hi! First change at 150.000 to max 200.000. Then every 100.000 km the timing kit needs changing. If you plan to buy a car with m271 engine ask seller to not start the car. You must hear the car at cold start. Listen for chain rattle. If there is no chain rattle then engine is OK. Change oil every 10.000 km or less.

You’re supposed to pull the damper out and use the clamp to stop it retracting back into the body of the shock!! They are extremely hard to pull out but have a method I’ve used many times.

Aceasta abordare e mai costisitoare. O abordare mai ieftina este sa mergeți la dedeman sau orice magazin de piese auto și sa cereți un spray tip grenada care odată apăsat se pulverizează pana se golește. El trebuie lăsat în mașină închisă. Motorul trebuie sa fie pornit, ventilatorul dar pe maxim, setat pe recirculare și sa bata aerul pe picioare și parbriz. Aceasta abordare e mai ieftina. Apoi înlocuiți filtrul de polen și repetați procedura cu încă un tub de spray. Fiecare tub de spray trebuie lăsat în mașină vreo 15-20 de minute pana se golește, apoi lăsată mașină pornita cu ventilația pornita vreo 30 de minute. De preferat pe cald ca să usuce tubulaturile. Mirosurile urate sunt cauzate de bacterii ce se acumulează în tubulaturi. Asta se întâmplă când porniți AC-ul și îl opriți foarte des. AC-ul trebuie lăsat pornit și temperatură sa o reglați din potențiometru de temperatura sau din butoanele de la controlul digital al temperaturii.
