Where did you find all those employees. Ive been waiting over 6 months to have a front end rebuilt on a Massey 1260 here in New England.

You wouldn’t really expect anything else. The TD18 was a powerful bit of kit.

Thanks for posting. I have been researching these crawlers and their history, and its great to see one in action. Very complicated, duel-fuel engines. Hats off to the students at Hadlow for taking on such a challenge. Best!

This video brings back so many memories for me . Back in the late 70s I had a job working on a farm after school , the farmer bought an old td 18 , I believe it was an ex military dozer as it still had the heavy grill and light guard on the front . Some of the happiest days of my youth was helping to get the old gal working again . It was mainly used for mole draining the fields .

Where did you find the distributor and the points and all of the parts that are inside the distributor? can you email me this info. I have the same machine. I cannot no spark to the plugs.
@stevepike65804 жыл бұрын
Hi Davis, I am one of the lecturers involved in the rebuild, we were really lucky to have all the parts with it when we acquired the machine. Spark is supplied by a magneto on this and the later ones I believe had coil and distributor ignition from a battery. There are lots of parts available especially in the USA but not so much here in the UK. Not sure where parts for distributor type ignition can be obtained but do have contacts for magneto parts if that's what you are running.

Hi there, We're very glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Hadlow. We were placed into Education Administration, which differs from standard commercial administration in that it is designed to protect the provision of learning for students, rather than act in the interest of creditors generally. Our courses are running and applications and enrolments are still being taken for courses starting in September 2020. We continue to work with the Joint Education Administrators and North Kent College to implement the recommendations in the Further Education Commissioner’s Options Review, which recommended that North Kent College should take on Hadlow College’s provision/facilities and West Kent & Ashford College's provision/facilities in Tonbridge. This transaction is aimed at obtaining a long-term sustainable solution for the existing provision offered by the Colleges, continues to proceed positively and is fully expected to reach a successful conclusion in the summer.
