This is the comic I bring up whenever I hear people say Superman is "boring" or "too good." NO, I say, the struggle to do good is NOT boring, and it's absolutely not impossible for people to identify with someone making that struggle. Even if a character isn't full of anger, pain or bitterness like a Batman or a Wolverine they still struggle, and there is still drama in them, and a lot to learn from.

Videos like these are inspiring to me, because it's not just about a great artist talking about just his greatest works, but also being vulnerable enough to admit that (even in a professional setting) nothing is often perfect. He also goes into explaining where he sees the flaws that someone else looking at the art piece wouldn't see - and recognizing that every piece of art/media is going to have it's flaws makes it so much easier to be forgiving of yourself as an artist, and to just enjoy the process. Here's hoping Alex Ross is able to go semi-easier on himself too - making art is all about the journey. ^^
