It’s amazing your insurance only went up 14%. Are you guys carrying wind and hail? In southeast Louisiana ours has gone up by multiples. It actually reached the point of not being affordable but we dug deep this year and found a way to pay it. But the current cost is not sustainable.

Hey Mike and Beverly! I wanted both of you to know how much you have become part of my life over the past year. As I have taken on the beautiful responsibility of teaching the men's group at my church, I always include watching your lesson takes and your gentle teachings that I turn to every time for my weekly study. Your ministry has become such a huge part of my week! I love you both through our mutual Lord, Jesus Christ! Here a few weeks back, I received a really bad report and it looks like I may be dying of metastatic pancreatic cancer, though it is being a real chore getting to full diagnosis, as getting the biopsies done, etc is a time consuming process. It has been a very rough few weeks. I say this only because I want you to know how much your video lessons mean to me as I can keep pace with the lessons no matter if I am teaching in Sunday School or laid up in the hospital. You and Beverly are such wonderful people, Mike. I want to add my voice to continuously uplift you both! You've got a ministry that probably reaches far beyond what you might be aware of! The Lord is using your wonderful ministry to reach folks you probably will never meet or personally know, but your voice is reaching all of the way out into the wilderness of the internet! We'll done!

I appreciate your integration of 1 Cor 1:18-23 into the lesson. However, you stopped in the middle of Paul's sentence at the end of v23. Verse 24 completes the passage, and is the linchpin of his point. Here is the complete sentence: "22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 BUT TO THOSE WHOM GOD HAS CALLED, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God."
