I love doing macro, and seeing the textures I can't see with my naked eys. This lens has been on my wish list for a while, but finally broke down and ordered one. Currently, my best macro lens is a Tamron 103A, which I paid $3 for and is beat to hell and can't focus to infinity, and I don't really have a good portrait lens. My boyfriend needed some portrait work done so he'd have a nice one for his Director headshot, and I realized I didn't have a great portrait lens. This looks like it'll do a great job for both use cases :)

It is the same. It locks your focus, exposure and White Balance. Just press and hold on the screen where you want it locked on. You will see the box popup.

For those who don't have iMovie on their iPhones and don't want to install it just for this (it can take a while to download on a slow connection and takes up quite a lot of storage space), you can achieve the same end by 1) viewing your video in the Photos app 2) pressing Share > Save to Files (this places in Files a new copy of the video with the slow-mo effect baked in) 3) switching to the Files app and opening the just-saved video 4) pressing Share > Save Video (the version with the baked-in slow mo is copied right back to your Photos where you started) Do keep in mind that however you accomplish this, the final product utilizes a different type of video compression (H.264 vs H.265), with the effect of roughly doubling the file size relative to the original. This is unavoidable. Also as a side note it does not escape me that nowhere in the author's video or my alternative does the process for which the video is titled actually appear at all lol

Can get everything ready, pour really hot drink in, then shoot. Or just added steam in photoshop.

I will add some people put something behind the cup to make it look like it is coming from the cup. Doesn't always look right in my opinion. They will burn incense, cigarette, microwave a wet tampon, so it steams, etc. Some will wave it over the top of the cup and then shot fast.

@@aneeeen12 No, it is not the same. the light from the grid soft box is still soft. You are just stopping the light spreading. The light from a strip box is different.

Would you know why my video's will not save when using the Hohem Pro app? A message that says insignificant storage, but I have plenty of storage on my iPhone, is this storage within the app, and what does it mean to clear the cache within the app? I am assuming that means it clears out the videos within the app. It makes me nervous I will erase all of my videos on my iPhone because they all show in the app weather I filmed it with the Hohem or not. My teen daughters have a show at school tonight, and I wanted to record the show. The kids love my videos because the faces are not blurry from a long distance, because I use the Hohem.

From my understanding the App wants at least 2gb of storage space on the phone to save flies. Okay here we go. If you delete the video from the App, it will tell you it will delete from your phones library as well. The App wants permission to save files to your phone. It also asks for access to your library. I personal restrict that. Make sure you gave it permission. I know , but it may have somehow changed. Now in dealing with the "clear the cache " Go on your phone to "settings" (phone not app) the go to "general" then go to "iPhone storage" then scroll down till you find Hohem pro click on it my says App size 347.7mb , Document size 3mb. you will also see that it says "Offload" and Delete App. it explains what they do. But under that is your clips that you can delete individually if you want. WARNING, i have no idea if you delete from the cache whether it deletes it from the App and phone. (my cache is clear) What I would do is backup a couple of your videos that you see in the cache. then i would delete it from the cache and see if it deletes from your phone as well. Also make sure you have the latest version of the App and Iphone IOS May need to delete the App and reinstall. Could be buggy. Hope you get it working. Enjoy every minute of the show, of your daughters!

14 pro and also since 13.. 13 pro image is way to processed and artificially sharpened with lot's of artificial Haloing on the edges of contrast edges. I really prefer more natural and a bit more noisy image of older generation iPhones like 11 and 12. one thing where 13.. 14.. 15 pro versions shines is a better video in very low light. that's it.

True. I think the thing is they try to get what they think is a perfect image. I feel they do that for the person who just wants to take a photo and do zero editing. Kind of like the fast food of photography

It would work fine, BUT you need a good fog machine to be able to keep the fog going. Like I said in the video, these cheap machines only send a small amount of fog out before it stops. Then you have to wait before you can send more. Also depending on the length of the isle you may need 2 or maybe even 3 machines
