I just got 8kx. In general I prefer my Reverb g2, but the big FOV is cool. I find I like "small" the best as you can see no distortions and the FOV is still bigger than most with decent overlap and clarity. Normal and Large distortions can sometimes make me feel fish eyed

mhm, ich habe da nicht wirklich was eingestellt, das Logitech wird sofort erkannt. Du kannst ja jede Taste extra belegen, ich gehe davon aus, dass du die Menü Navigation extra zuweisen kannst.

Thx! True, but only if you will use the PSVR2 with the PS5, on the PC, you don't have HDR and the resolution is so low, with the crystal it is better with local dimming and the 2 times higher resolution. I hope there will be the Oled Version of the Super in 2025.

@@kristaps2010well the only good thing is, with a decent pc, you can run real 120hz and fps. But the low resolution is still a pain and also mura and motion blur. Also, even if you use super sampling or an upscaler, this isn't magic and transform a HD display into a 8k display. You will always spot the difference

@@Almo-FRCfalls du mal einen Graz Trip machst, komm bei uns im Büro vorbei, da kannst du die Hardware testen. Für die Crystal gibt es Einlege Linsen von VR Optiker oder Hons VR, das klappt super. Die Auflösung der Crystal ballert im Moment alles weg. Die meisten welche gegen die Crystal haten, haben die nicht mal probiert, es ist oft sehr peinlich mit den "gamer" und "Experten" 😂

@@liebesmaennchen i remember something like that having to use revive or something. But I remember it was fairly easy. What was harder to setup was custom controls. For some reason codemaster games whitelist the compatible controllers so if you have something different you need to add your controller to some text file in game directory. When I got dirt rally 2 it seemed to dip under 90 unless I put every single setting to the lowest while dirt rally 1 ran good even on medium settings. I also remember not being very impressed because the car sounds got a downgrade and everything looked really bad on lowest settings.

Also, it is NOT possible to buy the game on the Meta Store anymore, so I guess this is goodbye for dirt 1.0 :-( If you have any idea what I could try, please let me know, you will do the Dirt Rally Fans a huge favor.

Cool video. In the Openxr menu, what resolution you using on "System" tab? You should give a try to "Custom fixed foveated rendering", that gave me a ton of GPU headroom to play with resolution and graphics settings, and the quality pretty much gets improved since it'll lower only your peripheral view. I have a PSVR2 and 3080Ti (way lower setup than yours) and having better performance than you, so I highly recommend you to try that. My settings if you wanna try it: Inner resolution: 1x (full) w/ 60% ring size / Middle res: 1/2x / Outer ring size 80% at 1/8 res. Ps: You can play with NIS or FSR upscale at 100% (upscale over full resolution) to see if you get even better clarity. I use 3840p resolution in "System" tab. With those settings with the 4090, you can easily keep the 90fps with gpu headroom with some minor tweaks. You can try it in Automobilista 2 aswell.

Hi! There is a hugh difference between PSVR2 and the Crystal - it is the nativ resolution. PSVR has about 4mil. and the Crystal 8,2mil. so the crystal has 103% MORE (2 times more) and also the GPU has to work, BUT that is the reason, why the image is so much better. Of course you are 100% right, you can tinker with the openXR Settings a lot and also get good sweetspot of performance / quality.

But, my point is exclusively about better performance and image quality in ANY headset using all the OpenXR can offer. Lots of people with highend headsets uses it, maybe you should give it a try, I think u'll be surprised on the improvement on the fps and better graphics. With your setup you can easily lock it at 90fps with even better image... it's like magic lol. Before that, my sim games runned and looked like shit.

I wonder, do you notice studder or skipping when the fps dips below the refresh rate of the headset? On the Quest 3, it is very pronounced. I also wonder if you have had any tracking loss issues. With my Quest 3 I have regular issues with the headset losing sync or tracking and I have to completely reboot the headset when using PCVR Link cable.

Hi! No, this is because the Crystal uses a DisplayPort and there is no encoding like with USB and the Quest 3 or even Virtual Desktop. I don't have tracking issues and bear in mind, that I have a green screen and my studio lights here. So, it is a very poor tracking condition. I tried a little bit with the PSVR2 and the PC Adapter and I noticed minimal drifting over a couple of minutes, not much, but I guess after some minutes of racing, I would sit on the passenger seat :D. I used the quest 3 for some testing, but the lack of nativ DisplayPort is ruining the experience. Many users don't know this, because they did not try a PCVR HMD with DisplayPort Connection.

You may have noticed the bad LOD distance. This causes this annoying pop ins of tree models. This only happens on the 2x AA settings. If you disablebe it or if you go for 4x then you get a better LOD distance.

MUCH better, PSVR2 has very low resolution, you will see flickering and also not so good view into the distance. BUT, that doesn't mean you can't have fun with the psvr2, I also have the psvr2, but yeah, I enjoy the crystal more.

I installed the beta version of Pimax Play and then uninstalled PimaxXR Control Center. In FS2020 using TAA, my FPS dropped from 31 to 21 in VR with the Pimax 8KX. I then reinstalled PimaxXR Control Center and started using that again, and without doing anything else, my FPS returned to 31. I'm not sure what's going on here, but the native version of OpenXR in Pimax Play doesn't seem to be ready for primetime!

Hello. Another great video. Have you tried AMS2 with openxr toolkit and the crystal light? The same as rf2: replace openvr_api.dll with opencomposite 64 bit one. In openxr toolkit: CAS 100% ; Saturation 56%. Pimax Play: 72Hz ; 1.0 resolution ; Local dimming Highlight option. So good. 😀

@@liebesmaennchen Nice. Look forward to it. Haven't tried it with the Crystal light yet. With the G2 was awesome. Are you using "DR2 eye accomodation fix 2.0" to improve the image quality?

Hi Reinhard, how would you compare Pimax CL with Quest 3 in Assetto Corsa, because I am using Oculus Rift rendering mode, and with the Pimax you have to use OpenVR, do you see the difference in quality? Thanks

Hi! Crystal is MUCH better because the Crystal and Crystal light resolution is 82% higher. Also, you can use openXR with the Pimax Crystal and openVR, so it depends on what you prefer. If you visit Graz, you can take a look at the crystal in our office.

@@liebesmaennchen I dont know what are you talking about, but my Crystal arrived yesterday, and the visual are awful, with unbareable motion blur.(probably because of very bad tracking). --- Quest 3 is waaaay better.
