you probably played 2.0 or 3.1, which are the harder versions. 1.0 and 1.1 are the normal versions

there's a dedicated tutorial for chain reactions, but to put it simply, if a bubble drops and there's a possible matchup of that color, and if there's an open path to that group, the bubble flies back up and pops them. it's a pretty cool system that i wish they kept for the newest game

@@EBTKSPaddy cool, i wonder if there is a competitive scene, i wish they would bring it back, one of the only things i don't like about Puzzle Bobble in general is that they always replace the cast (except Bub and Bob of course), instead of expanding it like in Puyo Puyo or Magical Drop, i think Puzzle Bobble 3 and 4 have the best cast imo

@@kartune0832 the most competitive i feel is puzzle bobble 4 mostly because of the chain reactions and its implementation. the only existing competitive scene is probably everybubble's online mode, but imo the game is too simplistic with its "mash a" mentality. i think i've only ever seen 1 or 2 videos of a public competition with pb4 as one of the games. everything else is either what i do with win contest, or speedrunning. i don't think it's bad that each game has a different cast of characters, what matters is they at least have something to offer in terms of style and personality, or like in pb:eb some kind of story mode. with that being said, bust-a-move bash is a good example of a bad roster, and i'm glad i never experienced that in any other pb game i've played.

@@EBTKSPaddy The chain reaction in Puzzle Bobble 4 is really fun, is it the only one with this feature? By the way, I remember the one on DS... Puzzle Bobble Galaxy, I think? It looked good, although I don't remember much about the multiplayer mode, I haven't tried the newer version, it's exclusive to the console if I'm not mistaken.

@@kartune0832 i only played a few of the games. as far as i'm aware, 4 introduced it, bam-3000 probably perfected it, bam-bash brought it to the single player while also butchering it, and while i haven't played vacation odyssey, it looks like it has chain reactions too. in most of the games that have it, it can be toggled on or off, though in 3000 it can only be accessed in pvp which is horrible, that game looks and sounds great. everybubble doesn't have it, though i personally wouldn't skip out on it either, we need these games to live on

it's very much a mod, the vanilla game is nothing like this

if the lighting appears to be the same between early caves like emergence cave and later caves like cavern of chaos, either you managed to collect the lightbulb early, or you disabled fog in dolphin's graphics settings.

so if you target a treasure for example and you mash the button until you can't throw anymore, it's that but without the targeting

i can try to simplify it. drag the root folder containing the mod onto the gcr exe, save the iso file and give it the kaizo name, then click the rebuild button. wait until the "done" window pops up before you close it. if you still can't figure out gcr, i think there's videos out there on how to use the gamecube rebuilder, though you'll only want the open, save, and rebuild parts. after that, there are videos out there on how to use the dolphin emulator, the only extra step you should remember is to uncheck the config option that enables mmu. you want that checkbox empty for kaizo.

@calebhopkins3588 I do have the game for both the Playstation and Game Boy Color. Working on getting more/better hook ups and recording devices in readying to record and upload various gameplay footage and with decent quality.

Well I was able to play pikmin 2 kaizo mod butt I have 2 problems with the mod 1 I don’t know how this happens but when I boot up the game on my dolphin emulator the intro was laggy and was very slow for some reason it was even the same on my pikmin 1 and 2 my disc file for pikmin 2 kaizo got corrupted so what should I do to fix these’s problems? And my pc is a windows 10 dell laptop.

@@lrasgamingarea2216 the first versions are easier and recommended while later versions are too hard. i suggest 1.1 for a first time player. as for the lag, if other games do that, then that's something i can't really help with. even i lagged a little bit here and there while i was making it, only thing that fixed it was to upgrade my computer.

all the versions are mostly identical with treasure locations. are you playing from a fresh file or from a previous save with treasures already collected?

@@EBTKSPaddy i'm playing from a fresh file, but i did get the debt re-paid message after collecting the duracell battery on the first day, could that be part of the issue?

@@akiko2plays190 the debt is 750 pokos, but treasures should not be missing from any of the caves because of that. checking the files and all the treasures are still where they should be.

i don't know about any problems with the old builds of dolphin like the music, but the dev build i wrote down is a single search away. either that or you get a recent dev build and disable mmu in either the game properties or dolphin's config menu

1.0 and 1.1 are basic difficulties, with 1.1 having a smaller debt, napsack and radar in the emergence cave, and a few other quality of life changes sprinkled here and there like more candypop buds. the more difficult 2.0 version is 1.0 on steroids, all the enemies are bad jokes and i highly suggest not playing it for your own sanity. the most chaotic evil is a mix between the qol of 1.1 and the difficulty of 2.0 with even more steroids. if you play 3.1, please don't take it seriously

@@EBTKSPaddy Hey so why is 3.0 load ready but 1.0 isn't? Makes it slightly very annoying to load. For some reason after compiling at gcr it becomes a "ghost file" that my computer cannot locate. Is it because i am not the administrator of pc?

@@foigaug i've never heard of a ghost file before, but looking into it it doesn't sound good. i've heard of hidden files, maybe you need to enable the ability to see them? it's only a ghost file if there is a file but you can't move or delete it like normal, and would not be a problem with gcr's compiling

i see you have noticed this is there a wii version cause the gamecube version kinda sucks
