Yeah... Lucius was NOT Maximus' child. This is just another example of weak writing and it is on par with Ray being Palpatine's Granddaughter. Its sole purpose is to elicit sympathy for the Protagonist and it succeeded as well as it did for Ray. On the other hand, maybe it is an attempt to subvert Maximus, to imply that he was unfaithful to his wife. Which is stupid, since everything he did in "Gladiator" demonstrated just how devoted he was to his family.

I didn't mind Gladiator 2. It was a silly popcorn movie. Denzel Washington was fun. I was mildly entertained by the action and setpeices. But I do agree with all your problems and I have my own issues with it too.

Rocky 2 is an underrated sequel. It's a perfect follow-up to the first. It picks up immediately after the first, expands on the characters and shows the aftermath of those events. I think of Rocky 1 and Rocky 2 as 2 parts of a single film.

Pedro phoned in his role. Everything he did was tell he don’t care cut the check. Denzel was hilarious as Diddy of Rome. The main guy Lucious he gave speeches but they weren’t inspiring. It’s a forgettable sequel. Though my sister said “How is it a forgettable sequel if you never seen the first one….” I can tell!😂😂😂

Just caught up on this release now it's on Disney+. Gonna be honest, I don't get what everyone is complaining about with the callback and fan service accusations. The filmmakers clearly showed restraint, like not having doing a nonsensical dual homage of Rain humming John Denver while slipping on the space suit. We could've also somehow ended up with Rain using mud to mask herself like Predator, because why not scrape the barrel bottom? Yup, total restraint. ...in all seriounsness, those were the dumbest fake scenes I could impromptu think of and they still didn't touch the slenderman baby.

Russell Crowe had me crying in the real film. That film was so special, great music, fantastic acting. It had depth and heart and tension and you cared about the characters. That cannot be duplicated in 2024. Cgi rhinos - please give me a break!!! And Denzel needs to stop playing Denzel and at least make an effort. He should be embarrassed.

I just watched it. A mediocre film. Pacing was too slow. The problem is you can see the husband doesn't love her & doesn't really care if he gets caught, so there's no tension in that respect throughout. Plus, i also guessed the ending.
