I own this and it’s kind of a pain to clean. The plastic exterior gets weathered and fades. Doesn’t look good after a while.

This would be a really cool idea if the bottom was actually designed to withstand enough heat that it could be placed on a regular table without fear of damaging or burning the surface and if it also had a handle on top for easier carrying. Other cool features would be additional storage for tongues/knives like a pull out drawer of some kind. I love what Heston has done with Sage by making very high quality machines at home but I feel this product needs more work, I want to see not just a stylish looking BBQ but one that is also practical and more premium because honestly this just feels like an expensive version of a disposable BBQ you can buy for less than £10.

I’m just curious why in all the marketing ads for the Cube you never see a fire brick or just plane old brick to shield the table one is cooking on. Seems to me it should be done, at least in some photos to be a little more honest. I’m really interested in purchasing it, and based on owning a hibachi type grill I assumed one would be needed for many situations. I just think a more realistic setup should be portrayed.

Very attractive…. But I’m wondering how the product cleared practical consumer testing before production. Once you factor the price, it’s obvious that it’s not convenient after you factor what it takes to clean it up properly. You should have made the top stainless steel and given the consumer a cutting board for the prep work. All of the owners on YT that I’ve seen are using their own cutting board on top of this thing to make cleanup easier. That pretty much renders the main feature of this prep table worthless. It’s just a $1000 table on wheels if the user is compelled to take steps to not get it dirty.

I purchased a Hub II grill and there is a problem with the rotisserie. It pauses about 2 seconds in the same location on every rotation and then continues. This might not sound like much of an issue but it causes whatever I am cooking to overcook or burn in the area that faces the fire when it pauses. I contacted Everdure via email and they responded via email and promised to repair it. Six months have passed and they have not sent a tech to repair it. They stopped responding to my emails. Don't bother calling the customer service number. They don't answer and never return a call.

Wow so much work. So many rags and cloths and difference brushes and you would need two sponge scourers. In reality it’s impossible to clean the hot plate like this every time you cook. So you have to cook on a dirty hot plate or spend an hour cleaning every time you cook. Just not worth the time in today’s busy cities. Got to be an easier way to clean these non stick surfaces that doesn’t involve metal scrapers or a huge black tub and special white paste.

Here's a tip with assembling. Take the vent slides out from the inside of the hood and reassemble on the outside so that you don't have to lift the hood everytime you want to adjust the airflow. I'm not sure why they have done it like that, looks maybe.

The first thing I did after buying mine was take the vent slides from the inside of the hood and put them on the outside where they should be in my opinion. Who wants to lift the lid everytime you want to adjust the airflow. You lose too much heat.

I love my cube! I mostly grill for myself and it’s the perfect size for that! I tend to use a bit more charcoal than intended but so far no issues. Some cracks here and there but expected since I had it for a while now.

I would not recommend this rotisserie kit to anyone who want to bbq all year round, it cheaply made, using thing gauge power coated steel, which rusts, the motor can't be used in the rain.

Thanks - been looking for proper feedback on this. Do/did you own it? It looks quite awkward to use, but wondering if it’s manageable for the odd use in summer?
@MasterChief37
@MasterChief37 Жыл бұрын
@@weeksy79 yes I got it the same time I bought the piece of shit BBQ. Its junk wouldn’t buy it. It’s made out of crappy steel, it’s flimsy, it doesn’t fit properly, the motor isn’t even IP44, it should be IP56 for outdoor use. It’s difficult to balance to rotisserie, like the BBQ it looks like it should work but it hasn’t been properly developed and tested before releasing it for sale.

@@MasterChief37 really appreciate the info! I’ll go back to hunting for a bargain Everdure Hub instead!
@MasterChief37
@MasterChief37 Жыл бұрын
@@weeksy79 the Hubs rust quickly, the tubes that hold the rotisserie often fail, they either won’t deploy or retract. The auto ignition also fails. You have to keep them under cover, the motors aren’t ip44 or 56. Basically the entire range of products Everdure manufacture all look good but they all have significant defects.
@weeksy79

@@MasterChief37 yeah I know what you mean, I have the Cube, Furnace, and 4K and glad I didn’t pay full price for them. Feel like they could all do with updated versions based on feedback from proper BBQers; but the tooling must’ve been so bloody expensive in the first place.

This grill is so NON-intimidating! Just what I needed. Easy to light charcoal with the Tumbleweed Firestarter's. Only used 25 small charcoal briquettes to barbeque 8 kabobs and could have cooked more. The grill had room for and cooked 6 at one time, so that was great! The simplicity of the Cube grill is worth it's weight in gold. Portable, saw NO ash coming up from this. With the briquettes in a single layer once they were hot, didn't allow for much flaring or ashing outside of the firebox, so pretty safe. Did NOT heat the stone I had placed under it on my deck ledge / serving area. Food tasted great!. I am a woman who does not enjoy having to pull a bigger grill out of the garage, and through the gate into my yard. I like being able to have this on my small deck, just outside my kitchen. No having to run up and down the steps. I cook for just two to three people and love the taste of charcoal grilled food. I don't have to worry about parts failing or hooking up gas or causing an explosion of some sort. This is perfect. It has opened up my possibilities for grilled chicken and veggies and not just at home and not just in the summertime. Perfect. I don't have to worry about wobbly legs or it being blown over. It's no fuss, so cute in the Khaki, too! And it cleaned up nicely and easily at my kitchen sink. My daughter also felt comfortable cooking on it, so it's a win, win, win for us. And my boyfriend was so impressed with this. And that's saying something! He's already thinking of out-of-the way places we can take and enjoy it! Thank you, Heston and Everdure. You have added a wonderful layer to our lives. I no longer have to wait for someone else to do the grilling for us! I also purchased a Blackstone griddle dome, the 12" to use as a lid for this. It fit well over the food and allowed venting at all four corners, so really happy with that addition to my Cube experience. It had an orange stay-cool handle that color coordinated with the grill for a good look.
