Agree. As from Claudias scat song you just experience it as pure jazz. Nice close-up photos of wonderful Claudia.

Love it. Who wrote the lyrics? And are they Castellan or Catalan?
@giuseppefilippocannavale11057 күн бұрын
Greg: Laura Escuadra wrote the Lyrics. It's a familiar tribute to a past venue (2000) by Montserrat Cristau at Empordà Fusió with her father Rafel Rostey Garcia on drums and her grandfather Jaume Cristau on double bass. Furthermore, arrangements by Jordi Cristau.

Sometimes very difficult to identify the language. I'm working on it but still make mistakes In this case, the title made it easy. Nadal - Catalan Navidad - Castellan (Christmas)

I saw him solo live back in '73 in Providence R.I. at a now defunct venue called the Living Room. One of my earliest exposures to improvisational jazz. So glad he is still performing, but have to admit it makes me feel very ancient!

I like to hear about Scott "back in the day", especially as it applies to his Rhode Island roots. I'm a tenor player from Eastern Connecticut...so I look at Scott as my "immensely more talented and swinging cousin"! 🎷🤓

Totally agree. Scott was my biggest inspiration to start playing tenor. I guess someday I will be about .0001 percent as good as he is. haha

Hamilton plays incredibly well. His phrasing is very fast without losing musicality. The reference to "Tangerine" is brilliant. They are all great musicians. Excellent performance. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I really like it when videos keep going through the applause like in this case. Seems like a more complete performance when we get to be part of that audience response. I wish Joan would also do that when he posts the Sant Andreu Band's videos.
