No for real though. He’s the only person on the podium that looked like he did everything he meant to do. Double backflip on the step down is CRAZY

I think Erik Fedko also deserves to be in the video…his run was epic too🔥In my opinion he should have been 3 place. He got robbed by points.
@tadeusz566711 күн бұрын
His run was so good, but he do only cork 720 on the last jump, so probably this cost him a few points.
@mtbChiller11 күн бұрын
@@tadeusz5667 Yeah for sure but Emil wasn’t that smooth and had two missed combos in his run…he still got 3 place:/ I know the opposite gets much points but still

Really enjoyed this longer format because it gives a more realistic feeling of the actual vibe on the ground. MTB videos come in a few varieties these days. There are short banger edits like X-games real MTB, DH race runs (ideally with Rob Warner on commentary), slopestyle/freeride events with Cam McCaul, vlogs à la Sam Pilgrim, How-to videos on GMBN and then these kind of track walks with interviews. I stick it on while making breakfast on Sunday morning and it gets me more stoked for the main event.

I love the casual, behind the scenes format of these new vids.

New commentary is good, just work on the backdrop for filming. Often you’re missing the insane views or just have distracting backdrops

21:05 This is sad, really. Slopestyle event are invites only and it is sad to see that some upcoming riders have to find ways to be at the event they dream of. I wish crankworx would atleast sponsor them the expenses as it is based on invitation event and not open event like the rest of the categories.
@Phil_McLean16 күн бұрын
Shania is a racer and not there as a slopestyle athlete. She received funding to make it to this stop for Crankworx overall points collected from killing it at the most events at every stop. Yes it's expensive to follow Crankworx around the world, but if she can win Queen of Crankworx it will be well worth it.

Cool new segment! One or two feedback points I'd like to mention. One is less audio editing. Vocal clarity is not as necessary when the scenery is outdoors (dry vocals feel unnatural and confusing to follow). And maybe a bit more "raw riding" as the interviews - which are appreciated - are longer than the actual riding it feels like. It's cool for us viewers to listen in to the conversations of the riders before they drop in, try a new trick or just watch them ride down the course without additional music whatsoever. Good content!
@KatyWinton16 күн бұрын
Thank you so much, this is great feedback! Agreed the audio isn’t great, trying to reduce the onsite music in the background to avoid KZbin picking it up and flagging it is tricky!! Will keep working on a better solution! More raw clips, for sure 🤝 Really appreciate the feedback 🙏
