The glue is called Uhu Endfest 300, this is a 2-part epoxy style glue with industrial strength.

Hi I love you work but I’m a little confused I bought this kit but I see you using the shaker oil provided but your mixing it with glycerin and other liquids, does that mean i can’t use the shaker liquid alone, will it not get result like you if I dint add glycerin etc if I have to add it what’s the ratio?
@vivilaineroosen7676Ай бұрын
You can use the shaker oils alone, the part that got the glycerin is the water, glycerin just helps the mica powder swirl a bit more but it is not needed. The supplied shaker liquids are basically pre-coloured water, I just switched them out for my own mixture but you can use them straight out of the bottle no problem. (As for ratios I honestly just added the glycerin little by little until I got the effect I liked) Also if you use your own water I would suggest to pick up distilled water or treated water because normal bottle/tap water may grow algae and stuff over time.

Regarding bubbles, I saw that someone puts his pieces in to a vacuum chamber. Basically a aiethight pot of ehich he sucked out the air.
@vivilaineroosen7676Ай бұрын
I do own a vacuum chamber but I try to only use it if I really need it plus the only place it would be useful in this case would be to get bubbles out when I pour the base but since I used multiple colours that would mean those would mix. I in fact did use my vacuum chamber when I made the silicone molds to get them to be "perfect". There is another way to use a pressure chamber but those are very expensive over here (even the diy components) which is why I do not own one yet.

The bears turned out so nice and wow what an awesome experiment! I do like how the casting plaster turned out, swirls look great 🤩 I use Elmers glue to thicken the viscosity of my resin when I use chunky glitters to prevent sinkage, I wonder if that would also help with swirls?!? 🤔
@vivilaineroosen76762 ай бұрын
that is a great idea, I am a bit worried about the fact that Elmers is water based though and that can mess with the resin curing, definitely another thing I need to try though.

When you’re working with polymer clay like sculpy you can brush on isopropyl alcohol to help remove fingerprints. 😊 these are adorable by the way.
@vivilaineroosen76763 ай бұрын
Thx, I actually know the alcohol trick I just do not like that it dissolves the clay and gunks up my brushes. At some point I probably should get some other brushes for that specific purpose xD.

I had this stuff in my stash for a couple of years, also only was a random find in the store one day. It definitely is a neat way of making projects more custom than with pleather, Fimo has loads examples of what can be made with this stuff on their website, def worth checking it out . The filling is made with UV resin too?
@vivilaineroosen76765 ай бұрын
For the filling I am using Sophie&Toffees 1:1 ratio Epoxy Resin (it needs to be a little more viscous of a resin to hold the colour swirl effect)
