Love the detail on the butterfly. Glad to see you are a messy crafter but I bet you know where everything is located.

Hello Eline! This was a very helpful guide to show people what is possible. You gave some good advice. We just need to play around with different pieces to find what works. Most of the time when it right we'll know it. I like what you've done so far. I look forward to seeing the finished pieces. Love the necklace and butterfly you bought. 🦋

Love the direction of the new video! It’s helpful to people who want to sell jewelry, knowing what’s trending. The charm necklaces make me think of crows or magpies, collecting little shiny odds and ends.

Hello Eline! It is good to have you back. I'm glad you are still making jewelry and loving it. Funny, but I've been thinking about making some charm bracelets. Maybe I'll do a necklace instead. I look forward to seeing more from you soon.

Hey Marcia! Making jewelry is my destressor?! Besides I like trying different styles! Jewelry resellers just keep stuff that’s their style or brings the most money. I just want to have fun and enjoy all kinds of jewelry! The plus side is the sustainability of repurposing broken or single bits of jewelry gives me warm fuzzies 🥰 lol. Thanks for watching! 🥰

Hello Eline! Good to see you back with another video. Nice bag of jewelry. Hearts and flowers, definitely a Valentine's vibe. I think the one tag was You and I. I couldn't really see the lettering, but the shape was right for that brand. The cameo is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! You’re right it is You and I. The plating was worn and hard to read. Trying not to keep anything but .. that cameo and the chain! Definitely going into my catch and release! I love it so much! Thank you for watching and commenting!!❤

Hi Eline! The strand of cultured pearls is nice. You matched up a lot of the earrings, too bad you didn't find the match to the hoop you liked. The Trifari faux pearl bracelet looks worth restoring. I hope you get around to doing that.

Hello Eline! Happy New Year! Thanks for the shout out. Didn't mean to cause you worry. All is well. Sorry about your car and the affect it's had on you. Sounds like you've been busy though. Love your wreath pin display. I need to do something like that with my jewelry. I loved that Lavalier piece. So happy that is turned out to be gold. Congrats on that. I'm finally catching up on some videos, so I'm off to watch part 3 of your last jewelry jar. Whatever you post, you know I'll watch (sooner or later). Lol.

Hello from Australia, the 2nd pendant that you showed at the beginning of this video, did you acid test the gold? As it did look old, as it could have been the time peiods you stated in your last video. A lot of those antique pendants are unmarked, so it could be gold. Please test and let us know. Cheers. 🦘🐨🦘😼😼

Hello Eline! I completely understand about being overwhelmed by the jewelry. Is it just me or does it seem like so much more once it is out of the jar. Lol. You are a very creative person with your own unique style. You need to stay true to that. Everything else will just get in the way and hold you back. I encourage you to follow your heart, even if it means we will see less of you on KZbin. Whatever direction you take, I hope it brings you the happiness you want and deserve. Be blessed.

Hey Marcia! It gets to be just to much! I donated about 20 pounds of junk to a Goodwill that sends most jewelry to their main auction house. Wednesday I seen they made 2 jars out of it for $55 each, not worth it for someone to buy. I bagged up wearable stuff I won't list in sandwich zip lock bags filled them up and sold them at our yard sale LOL. Funny part several remember the jewelry from the last couple yard sale years and came looking for it :D I still will be sourcing just differently! Thank you for the encouragement and for watching! :)

@@birdnestcafejewelry1326 Hi Eline. I agree, and I applaud you for letting go. Glad you where able to at least sell some of the jewelry. I am trying to do just that with sales here on KZbin. But it only works if people buy. Lol. Like you, I will never stop loving and making jewelry, but sometimes change needs to happen. And just a name change may not be enough for me. All good things must come to an end. Right? You keep true to your heart and do the things you love. Wish you much happiness.

👋Hi, Eline! How are you? I appreciate the shoutout and compliment. 😊 Getting “caught up” in the thrill of the jewelry hunt is real for a lot of us, and I think most of us at one time or another have been disappointed and/or disillusioned with what we have found in jewelry jars/boxes/bags. They’re always a gamble, and while I admit they are fun to open and sift through, I’ve learned to go into them without having any expectations (except for having fun), despite what I may have found in them in the past. I hate to say it, but I actually think the overall content/quality of the jewelry of the jars/boxes/bags nowadays has been declining over time … at least from my first-hand experiences and with what I’ve been observing in other people’s KZbin videos. We simply enjoy it for the entertainment it is, salvage whatever we can for collecting, reselling and/or repurposing, and then end up tossing the rest. My eye is naturally drawn to the antique and vintage costume pieces over 50 years old because of the designs, craftsmanship, and quality. I enjoyed seeing the pieces you made. Beautiful! Can you please email me your mailing address?
@birdnestcafejewelry1326 Жыл бұрын
Oh I agree on the jars! To expensive and not worth it as far as reselling. Hoping to find some good vintage through estate sales and yard sales and maybe some online auctions. Spent this past week going through stuff for a yard sale we had today and tomorrow. Sorry it took me so long to reply! I will also be sourcing peoples broken vintage jewelry to repurpose into something new also. Thank you for the compliments on my jewelry I appreciate your compliment :) Watching your videos reminded me that I got caught up trying to please others with the jars, and miss collecting what I love, thank you for that!

How I love vintage jewelry, it’s what I have been collecting for about 3 years now. I have pieces that are missing stones, or are slightly broken, but, that’s ok, every one of my pieces has a story to tell. Wonderful video 😊😊

What's funny is I look for missing bits on pieces I get and love just so I an justify keeping them! I love most everything before 1950 and some 1960's-70's mostly for memories! Exactly older pieces have wonderful stories to tell! Thank you for commenting and watching!

It would be nice if the person with the misunderstanding of what silver is could see this video. 925 is a standard that just means a piece must be at least 925 parts out of 1,000 to be marked sterling. You can also have less silver content in a piece, but it will not be sterling. Yes, people should always do there homework. Oh , and thank you for clearing up the ICING mark. It does favor Vera Wang.
