Tattu are really good - but I just tried one of the Bonka 180C 6S (1580mAh) and there is no context compare to the 1400 Tattu V5 - more amps and a lot less sag at full throttle. They are from Germany so not sure how easy/expensive it would be for you guys in the states but I highly recommend if you can get your hands on them - I heard from them in one of Chris Rosser's test video where he was raving about them.

I have noticed as the motor KV goes up, the prop pitch goes down, and the lipo size is getting bigger.
@Krash_fpvКүн бұрын
That's how it works....lower kv uses props w more bite
@ChainsawFPVКүн бұрын
@@Krash_fpv I kno that. Lol but in the last 3-4 years, the changes have been a decent amount. Low kv and high pitch seems to be a thing of the past.

Well.. I let chatgpt do the math for me because I did not see a improve and this is the answer: The new battery has a slight improvement in efficiency, increasing from 6.14 mAh/gram to 6.24 mAh/gram. However, this improvement is marginal: an increase of only 0.1 mAh/gram. This means that while there is a boost in capacity, the extra weight nearly offsets this benefit. Gaining just 80 mAh for an additional 9 grams of weight is not very significant. Still those are great lipos, but not enought improve to even think about it.

Its a fair point, i ran into an issue where 10 seconds of more flight would have been difference between 3rd place and 6th place, and for those instances its worth it. But perhaps not for every flight.

performance on that air65 is just as good honestly. Although the VTX will be banned for many races, and you would need to use a whoop with a tbs vtx like this one. If not competing? Can for sure save and use an air65

Im excited for this AIO. I currently have the flywoo nanobaby v2 1s drone. It has an esc, hdzero whoop board, and a separate elrs receiver all on 40mm props and I can easily get 5min freestyle flights. Im considering a build with the AIO board, lux camera, and same motors on a mobula 7 style frame. Hopeing to get either long flights or less weight.

This is a great idea! I have some VTX\cameras leftover from other quads that need a new home. Does it still come "tuned" with PID's ready to send?
@JonE5FPV9 күн бұрын
yes, i believe they toss their tune on it before shipping. Thats the beautify of building multiple of these. They can create a tune for this collection of parts and use it over and over. I applied karate myself, but probably didnt need to.

Such a waste to buy analogue BNFs and then swap to HD. I hope all manufacturers move to FIY.
@JonE5FPV9 күн бұрын
Right? Plus, part of what is annoying on some BNF's is where they mount the rx/vtx. Id rather do it myself anyway.

Is it weird that I'd rather just have them sell MR30 prepped ESCs? This is oddly a product for me, yet I will probably just stick with my accepted role of propping up the secondhand 533 market to the absolute best of my ability
@JonE5FPV9 күн бұрын
I mean, i cant argue w that. Ive bought, flown at least a dozen used race quads over the years just like you, basically creating our own FIY builds lol.
@tehllama428 күн бұрын
@@JonE5FPV I've... uhh.. padded the stats on build count. The #1 thing that would save me comical amounts of time is just having ESCs that are soldered up with MR30's and have all the correct motor directions assigned. The rest is fairly easy, quick, and generally satisfying with good stacks.

That HDnot is wild... Does the clarity justify the cost compared to analog? Is the ms of latency really that bad with WS or DJI?
@JonE5FPV9 күн бұрын
Its maybe 2x better image than analog, (where as DJI o3 is like 5-6x better), but the latency is the best. Analog = 60fps, HDzero 90fps, DJI is variable, which makes it tricky for racing. It for sure feels like gaming on a 240hz monitor vs a 100hz. I didnt think i would feel a difference at my intermediate skill level, but even i can feel it.

I run combo of Gemcan MCK 2, HQ Headsup, and Dal Cylcone V2 (whichever is on sale when i order). Headsup has most control, gemfan has nice speed, and the cyclone is a good middle ground, and ive ran a few hundred sets. They are also a little stiffer, which makes them easier to bounce/bend back at our night spot.
