Sorry, the dimensions for the BRB bases you use? There's many on the store page and I'd like to use the same as you have. 9.5ish cm by 4.5ish?

Yep, I've been placing them in ranks of 2 so the frontage for my blocks of infantry is about 19cm. I've been varying the depth; for my Libyan spearmen and the Iberian Scutarii (shown in this video) I used the FK&P14b bases placed 2 by 2 Thats just enough room for 3 ranks if you place the infantry close together. For a bit more space depthwise you can use FK&P14c bases or even the 14d bases (which I used for the Caetrati and Carthaginian Cavalry respectively).

Look really excellent. And the big basing style really suits the caetrati as well. Agema and V&V also do some great plastics and resin for this era - the latter particularly for command figures, which are superb.

Thank you, I did grab some Agema Carthaginians and Romans which I am very excited to build up/mix with the obscene number of extra Victrix pieces I have. I like the look of the V&V miniatures, though I am not as familiar with resin; complementing the plastics with some specialized, high quality figures from V&V is a great idea.

@busydad_painting it's what I've gone for. Mixed in a few of theirs into other units / used them for the command bases. They're actually really easy to work with. Growth of a childs artistic challenge is important just never have your work too close to a busy bunch of fingers lol . Keep building your army with odd figures acting as ambassadors making your child feel proud once they're a little bit older as their understanding expands in pre school etc. I'm a grandparent now so my three are now hopefully doing it with the energetic gang .

Really nice! If you want a more war torn look, you could do a bit of weathering on the metals, maybe a darker wash and a few slash marks. Same for the shields. One more thing you could do is lightly drybrush their feet, bottom of tunics and lower part of shields with the color of the basing material (in this case a light sand color). Keep up the good work!

When you build models within each kit, they blend together well in a unit. The Agema kit supports more upright, non fighting poses. I found the cross-kit builds to be a little difficult, at least for this Agema Veterans kit which has very few parts. The bannermen I built here had a Victrix head (which I think are a little bit better than Agema) and a Agema body, and I had to add material to the neck to get the look right.

A really good looking unit. I’ve been painting miniatures for 30 years and have constantly struggled with the aesthetic look for basing miniatures. A lot of my figures are based individually and set into movement trays to suit earlier gaming systems but I think they always look better multibased. Multibasing gives a better sense of unity and also the figures being part of the landscape that they are fighting in. There are a few rule systems now which support this too . I intend rebasing a lot of my old figures on multi bases. Nice work.
