You should try the Venev Gemini series stones they are metallic bonded diamond and are 6 inch by half inch and are curved. They are amazing.

Is the hole so it can be hung on the wall like a meal cleaver? Or is there another reason for the hole in the blade?

Try the "sharpens best" sharpeners... the best thing out there for sure.

Great review mate. Lots of useful information. Using sandpaper on a stone is a good trick. I have a Norton slip stone like yours. I find sharpening enjoyable and rewarding. I’ve learnt to strop properly and that brings my knives up to razor sharp.

Who makes that Tracker? I use the Work Sharp Precision set to 25. The Tracker is so heavy it falls out, so I place an empty water bottle laid on its side to support the weight of my tracker. It gets so sharp that it will more than shave hair. I like putting olive oil on it after sharpening. I also like how oak blues my knife. You lay the blade on fresh oak sawdust. It seems the darker the oak, the darker the sawdust stains my tracker. Like blueing on a gun.

My father has one of those teardrop stones, I've used it a few times, good to know what it's called.

I have had my Tops T-1 since 2013 I have modified it many times from stripping off the coating changing the handle twice re profiling & grinding the edge and adding that Arrow Wrench. And all this time I could of just bought one of yours 🤣 where have you been all my life. I started using the Tops BCK7 that’s 14” over all and now I find my Tracker is small how much bigger is your version to the TOPS T-1 ?
