Thank you Sean for taking video of the flight. I switched from a Zoar 23"x 8" prop to a Zoar 22"x 10"prop on a DLE55 side exhaust. Top Flite kit, ARF engine cowl. Clipped the wing to replicate the current Miss America. I have about 12 flights on it now. Time to clean it up and paint her in full color!

Daniel here. Anoka County RC north of Ham Lake MN. This video shows my slow flight regime if you will. Many attempts to get the feel at the landing. It was twitchy because I had added too much expo and a bit too much dual rates. All went well. THIS PLANE IS A FLOATER compared to my other 1/5 scale planes. This has been confirmed by other friends that have one as well. Thanks for watching.

Daniel here. Thanks for watching the maiden landing. this vid was made by our friend Chuck at Anoka County RC north of Ham Lake MN. I had made several passed to make sure it "Felt right". There was no wind that evening, so I wanted to be sure the final was spot on. I made several passes, however you can sse that I went long. I was ok with that. My speed was perfect, the descent was perfect and the flare was perfect. And as with my other 1/5 scale planes it needs all 200 feet. Here's the kicker...the P47 with full flaps was an absolute floater. we are at 20.5 lbs. We put the elevator servos in the horizontal stab, moved the 32oz tank to the balance point, added 3lbs to the nose and still are light. After some expo and dual rate adjustments we will give it another flight.

Daniel here. Anoka County RC north of Ham Lake MN. Thanks for watching this maiden flight. Top Flite P47 Giant Scale. DLE 55 Rear Exhaust. As you can see, very controlled and smooth. No aerobatics of any type. New engine with only about a half hour run on it. Never ran it over 1/2 throttle. What suprised me was that all of the trims were dead on. Seriously! I moved them only because I didnt believe it. Just so you know, we spent the time to do it correctly. The only thing needed changing was to take out some expo in the Hitec Aroura 9. And lessen the dual rates high and low. A bit twitchy. Look for the landing video.
