I tied the black battery wire and the red battery wire together and gained 47 HP!!! Then ran a jumper from that splice to yellow & green wire and NOW it just starts up when I just think about it!!! GTFOH...BTW, THE EDITING of this vid is horrible!!! Ya can even read the stupid colored text that blends with the background and the music blows!! But thanks for making a lousy video for people to learn WHAT NOT TO DO

Still one of the only demos of this bass on yt. I've wanted one of these for awhile on sheer looks but can't find demos other than yours that are helpful, ideally I'd just try one but never seen one in person. The only other demo is on a Russian(?) Channel with the worst bass tone I've ever heard, the guy clearly isnt a bass player normally. Anyway thanks for this demo, I'd just like more so I can hear more.

@@Lordbaccus Same story in southern Maryland. I used to have a late 80s/early 90s Virgin Bass and it was perfect, didn't have any of the problems (neck dive etc) other Richs can have, had a Beast too and I sold them both. I really want a Zombie Revenge and that Virgin Bass again, that's my biggest regret in life and I have many of them lol.

I have a problem with mine, first I noticed the gas pump wasn’t making any noice when I turned the engine on, later I was having problem starting it them only one carburetor seems to be working, pump relay or pump?

Very informative video great troubleshooting . Suggest don't play any music over the voice instructions. Difficult to hear information and quit annoying.

This shortcut works perfect!! My output voltage from the decompression relay was low to my stater solenoid. I did the same thing and it works great.

What are the other colors hooked to that module??

I do not know! but the 2 I used are the input & output of the VOLTAGE to the Solenoid = the resistor go's BAD and only lets approx 9v through causing the PROBLEM

What year VS1400 is yours?? I have replaced the solenoid but still just a click at the solenoid. Where is this starter bypass on my 98 model?

mine was a year-2000' = Check to see HOW MUCH Voltage is getting to the Solenoid if it is less than 11v it will NOT work - you have to BYPASS the relay under the seat by cutting & jumping the 2 wired together - as described @ 1:29sec in the video - Hit PAUSE & READ!!!
