12:00 - I am haunted by this image. Suddenly in a blue doorway is a little girl, her face looking up in both question and complete innocense; she instantly reminds me of my own little daughter observing things around her. I am 50 years old and I broke down in tears of even merely contemplating the possibility of my own little one being in that same situation. I came here for the A-10 and not disappointed and very glad to see the support that those flying it know they're giving their brothers on the ground; but I left with a perspective that sticks with me that this is always so brutal for the little ones living amongst the conflict. I am deeply and irretrievably moved by those few seconds of her appearance. I can only hope her future improves; and I am extra grateful for the life my daughter has. Blessings upon both their futures.

A brilliant leap forward and a very handsome plane , but an absolute death trap , there is a movie out there about one whose crew abandoned one because of mechanical failure with one crew member left on board .

Just watched the entire programme. Absolutely staggering how these young men managed to land and take off fully loaded from a carrier. Wonderful aircraft, incredibly brave men and some endured dreadful suffering at the hands of their captors. This generation were indeed so very special. Thank you one and all. 🇬🇧

It is interesting that it's mandatory reading for Marines to read the John Boyd biography. He was an advocate of close air support for ground forces, whereas the USAF has minimal priority for that.

In their rush to be first to fly a passenger jet, the British were doomed to produce a flawed aircraft. In contrast, American aircraft manufacturers, took what time was nessesery to release a more utilitarian design and more reliable airliners that quickly became the preferred choice of Airlines around the world. The British were masters of innovation, yet much less so in implementation.

The increased drag required for descent was less due to the airfoil being clean than to the engines high idle power due to the primitive techno6og early jet engines.

The funniest part of the history of these planes for me is, they were built during the cold war to spy on the Sovjets but were built out of titanium from those same Sovjets😂.

I saw one flying at an airshow in Belgium. Epic plane! The diamonds of the afterburners are gorgeous. Must have been circling around the airport because I could smell the fuel before I saw the plane

It seems odd to me that the jet engine wasn’t invented before the piston engine. So much more simple in function and construction. Too powerful to run a car though.
