My father and i used to race at summit point in basically the same carts 2 cycle sprints in the late 70's to late 80's. I was the VA state champion a couple of times, so was my dad. I won the summit point track championship a few times, my dad won a bunch of times. I know that track so well! I was young when I started and about 13 when we quit.

Onboard, Is that Bob Wimmer your running with or one of his sons ? I know them well as i ran Enduros for 15 years here at Summit & with WKA . Bob always ran the Sprints We pitted together for many years.. Cool camera work & i wish we had them when i ran but they were still new & folks had problems with them.. So cool the main track paving went well ,looks much faster than when i ran 100cc Yamaha Medium & there old EX Class. I still have some friends at Woodbridge so perhaps we will meet . Seems you just didn't have the top end on the straight & were waiting a bit to long in the draft or you may have just won this. Those Wimmer boys are tough competitor's.

lol the gearing is so low that it takes forever to pull out of the corners. To me it seems a bit strange that single gear karts r running on oval tracks. What speed were you doing?

Stay in the Draft, your gear is obviously to low for passing on the Straights. Be smart lead where you dominate & fallow where you have to. Pulling out of the draft only not slows down the train it also shows that your infearear.

You really need some serious racing seat time. The Art of drafting would really help you out. Quit trying to pass every thing in front of you. Yes there will be those that you can usually at the start of the race and into about the third lap. Once you get your rythem and settle in with another kart,,,, work with him instead of trying to beat him at every corner. If you do this you will catch up to the leaders and possibly Winn. Be SMART not SELFISH & STUPID.

I just need to add, watching this is like getting teeth pulled. When in the hell are you foung to figure out the your not using your head. Get off the banks and down on the apron where everybody else is. Get in the draft and go 3 to 5 mph faster and catch the leaders. Oh the pain, oh the pain, watching this rookie
